Under the new structure, the annual fee has been fixed at Rs 2 lakh for pre-clinical courses, Rs 6 lakh for para-clinical courses, and Rs 32.5 lakh for clinical PG courses. The revised rates will apply uniformly to both government and management quota seats in all private medical colleges in Rajasthan.

The state’s Fee Regulatory Committee reviewed the existing fee models and directed private colleges to strictly adhere to the newly approved rates. Institutions found charging fees above the prescribed limit will be required to refund the excess amount along with 12% annual interest. The government has also cautioned that repeated violations may result in withdrawal of affiliation or even transfer of students to other institutions.

While the decision has been widely welcomed by medical students as a step toward affordability and fairness, several private college administrations have voiced concerns. They argue that the new cap could impact their financial sustainability and the quality of education. Discussions between private college representatives and the state government are reportedly underway to reconsider certain aspects of the order.

The revised fee structure will be implemented for admissions under NEET PG Counselling 2025, following the issuance of the final notification by the Rajasthan government.
