NMC Orders Medical Colleges to File Annual Disclosure Reports for MBBS Seat Renewal for AY 2026-27: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has instructed all medical colleges and institutions approved to conduct MBBS courses to submit their Annual Disclosure Reports for the academic year 2026-27. The submission is mandatory for processing applications related to the annual renewal of MBBS seats across the country.

According to the directive issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), every medical college holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) for MBBS admissions must complete the disclosure process through the official NMC online portal within the prescribed timeline. The requirement has been made under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations (MSMER), 2023.

The Commission has fixed May 30, 2026, as the final date for submission of all required information and payment of fees. NMC has clearly stated that no extension beyond the deadline will be granted under any circumstances.

In its public notice, the UGMEB emphasized that submission of the Annual Disclosure Report is compulsory for renewal of MBBS seats for the upcoming academic session. Colleges failing to comply may face difficulties in getting approval for continuation of their undergraduate medical seats.

The Commission also informed institutions that colleges which have not integrated their Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) with the NMC portal will not be able to access the submission platform. User credentials including usernames and passwords have already been shared with designated nodal officers of the respective institutions.

To help institutions complete the process smoothly, NMC has uploaded a detailed user manual on the portal. Medical colleges have been advised to carefully review the instructions before entering and submitting data.

The Commission has further warned that all information uploaded on the portal must be accurate and consistent across different NMC boards. Any mismatch or discrepancy in the submitted details may invite scrutiny. Once the application is submitted, colleges will not be permitted to edit the information. NMC also noted that the submitted data could be made public whenever considered necessary by the Commission.

Regarding the application fee, NMC clarified that all medical colleges must pay Rs 3,54,000, inclusive of 18 percent GST, through the online payment gateway available on the portal. No offline or alternate mode of payment will be accepted.

In a separate communication addressed to Directors, Principals, and Deans of medical institutions, NMC Secretary Dr. Raghav Langer reiterated the need for strict compliance with the public notice issued on May 13, 2026. Colleges have been directed to adhere to all instructions and complete the submission process within the stipulated deadline.

The move is part of NMC’s broader effort to ensure transparency, accountability, and maintenance of educational standards in undergraduate medical education across India. Earlier too, the Commission had issued notices seeking annual declarations and additional institutional details from medical colleges for seat renewals and regulatory assessments.

Medical institutions can access the Annual Disclosure Report portal through the official NMC website.
