Assam MBBS Admission 2026 for Special Quota Categories

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has invited applications from eligible candidates seeking admission under the following Special Quota Categories for MBBS and BDS courses:

• Freedom Fighters Quota

• Martyrs of Assam Movement Quota

• Victims of Extremist Violence Quota

• Ex-Servicemen / Serving Defence Personnel Quota

• Sports Quota

• Orphan Quota

Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements prescribed by the Directorate will be considered for admission under these reserved categories.

Applicants must ensure that their completed application forms reach the DME office before the prescribed deadline. Applications submitted after the closing date are unlikely to be entertained.

Assam MBBS Admission 2026: Selection Process

The admission process for Assam MBBS/BDS 2026 under the Special Quota will be carried out through multiple stages. Candidates should successfully complete each stage to secure admission.

The selection procedure includes:

1.    Submit the prescribed application form before the last date.

2.    Wait for the publication of the official merit list.

3.    Participate in the counselling process as scheduled.

4.    Appear for document verification with all required certificates.

5.    Check the seat allotment and admission results.

6.    Complete admission formalities at the allotted Government Medical or Dental College.
