BITSAT 2026 Applicants Report DOB and Board Selection Errors in Online Application Form; Check Details Here: The Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani, has commenced the BITSAT 2026 registration process for Session 1, but several applicants have reported technical issues while filling out the online application form. The problems, primarily related to date of birth (DOB) selection and school board options, have caused temporary confusion among candidates.

Date of Birth Selection Issue Explained

Multiple students have reported that the date of birth field on the BITSAT 2026 application portal does not allow selection of dates after June 1, 2008. As a result, eligible candidates born before this date are unable to proceed with or complete their registration.

Officials have clarified that this is only a technical glitch in the registration system and not a change in eligibility criteria. Importantly, there is no age limit for appearing in BITSAT 2026, and candidates who meet the prescribed academic qualifications are eligible to apply regardless of their year of birth.

BITS admission authorities have acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the technical team is actively working on resolving it. Applicants facing this problem are advised to wait for a few hours and retry logging into the portal. Authorities have assured that no candidate’s application will be rejected due to this temporary error.

CBSE Board Option Missing? Here’s What Candidates Should Do

Another commonly reported issue involves the absence of “CBSE” as a selectable option in the board selection list. Several applicants from the Central Board of Secondary Education have raised concerns regarding this matter.

BITS officials have clarified that CBSE candidates must select “AISSCE (All India Senior School Certificate Examination)”, which is the official examination name conducted by CBSE. Choosing AISSCE is completely valid and correct for students who have completed or are appearing for Class 12 under the CBSE board.

What’s Next After Registration?

Once the registration process is successfully completed, candidates will be able to download their BITSAT 2026 admit cards once they are released. The subsequent stages of the admission process include:

  • BITSAT 2026 examination
  • Result declaration
  • Online counselling and seat allotment
  • Document verification and admission confirmation

Admissions will be conducted for BITS Pilani, BITS Goa, and BITS Hyderabad campuses.

Applicants are advised to regularly monitor the official BITS admission portal for updates and announcements related to technical fixes and important deadlines.
