The CLAT 2026 counselling process comprises multiple stages, including online registration, participation in counselling rounds, payment of the required fees, and securing admission to the allotted National Law University. The entire admission process will be conducted in a structured manner to ensure transparency and fairness in seat allocation.
Candidates shortlisted for admission through CLAT 2026 will be required to exercise their options—to accept, revise (upgrade), or withdraw from the seat allotment—within the stipulated timeline. Applicants who choose to accept the allotted seat or opt for an upgrade must pay the confirmation fee to retain their seat. The CLAT 2026 admission process will be conducted across five rounds, culminating in final admissions by the participating NLUs.
