CUET UG 2026 Updates: Admit Cards Released, Exam City Change Window Opened by NTA: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced several important updates regarding the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026, bringing major relief and guidance for students preparing for the national-level entrance examination.

As per the latest developments, the CUET UG 2026 admit cards have been released on the official examination portal. Candidates appearing for the entrance test can now download their hall tickets by logging in with their application credentials. The admit card contains essential information such as examination date, shift timing, reporting time, exam centre details, and important instructions for candidates.

The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026, across multiple examination centres in India and selected international locations. The examination serves as a common gateway for admission into undergraduate programmes offered by central universities and several other participating institutions.

In another major update, NTA has reopened the city allocation and exam centre modification facility for candidates who were allotted examination cities different from their preferred choices. This step was taken after several students raised concerns regarding distant examination centres located in cities far from their residences.

According to reports, the revised facility allows eligible candidates to request changes in their examination city, date, or shift based on seat availability. The process is being carried out on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates who successfully modify their preferences will receive revised admit cards from the NTA. Students who do not make changes within the stipulated timeline will have to appear for the examination at the centres already allotted to them.

The agency has also advised candidates to regularly monitor the official CUET website for the latest announcements related to examination schedules, admit cards, correction windows, and examination guidelines. Aspirants are instructed to carefully verify all details mentioned on their hall tickets and immediately contact authorities in case of discrepancies.

Earlier this year, the NTA had reopened the CUET UG 2026 registration window after receiving requests from students who were unable to complete the application process within the original deadline. The special extension allowed candidates to submit applications until February 26, 2026. Authorities had clarified that no correction facility would be provided during the extended registration period, making it essential for candidates to enter all details carefully.

Additionally, NTA recently launched a dedicated online portal for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates to register for scribe assistance during the examination. The move aims to ensure equal opportunities and accessibility for all candidates appearing in the entrance examination.

CUET UG has emerged as one of the country’s largest undergraduate entrance examinations, enabling admissions to central universities, state universities, deemed universities, and private institutions through a single examination system. Lakhs of students from across India are expected to participate in the 2026 edition of the examination.
