The official GATE 2026 admit card release date is yet to be announced. However, based on previous years’ schedules, the hall ticket is likely to be made available in the first week of January 2026. IIT Guwahati, the organising institute for GATE 2026, will soon notify candidates regarding the exact release date and activate the GATE admit card download link.
Once the admit card is released, candidates must access it only through the GOAPS login portal. It is important to note that no hard copy of the GATE admit card will be sent via post or email.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the GATE 2026 admit card:
- Visit the official GATE website
- Click on the application portal link
- Log in using your enrolment ID and password

- Download the admit card and take multiple printouts for exam day

GATE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates must reach the examination centre at least 60 minutes before the reporting time
- Electronic items such as mobile phones, calculators, pagers, Bluetooth devices, notes, and study materials are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall
- Candidates will not be permitted to leave the exam hall before the scheduled time
What After the GATE 2026 Admit Card Is Released?
After downloading the GATE 2026 hall ticket, candidates should verify their exam centre address and location in advance and plan their travel accordingly to avoid last-minute issues.
IIT Guwahati will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The subject-wise examination schedule has already been released. The exam will be conducted for 30 papers across nearly 200 cities in India.
The GATE 2026 exam timings are as follows:
- Forenoon Session: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Session: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
