JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Date Announced; IIT Roorkee to Conduct Exam on May 17: IIT Roorkee will administer JEE Advanced 2026 on May 17. The JEE Advanced 2026 examination will be organised in computer-based mode nationwide and in select international cities. The list of exam centres and the detailed timetable will be released shortly on jeeadv.ac.in. As customary, the JEE Advanced 2026 exam will comprise two compulsory papers. Paper 1 is scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon, and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The JEE Advanced 2026 portal has been updated only with the examination date for now. Additional information such as the eligibility criteria, syllabus, admission guidelines, and the complete schedule is yet to be published.

The top 2.5 lakh performers of JEE Main 2026 will qualify to register for JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates may refer to their JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result to view the cutoff for JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility. Last year, 2,50,236 candidates were declared eligible for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will take place from January 21 to 30, while Session 2 will be conducted from April 2 to 9.

Eligibility for JEE Advanced 2026

To qualify for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam, candidates must appear for JEE Main and meet the required cutoff. Additionally, applicants must be born on or after October 1, 2001. A relaxation of five years is granted to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, meaning they must be born on or after October 1, 1996. Candidates who completed Class 12 in 2025 or will complete it in 2026 are eligible to apply. Those who passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier are not permitted to appear for the examination.
