As per the official notification, the JEE Main Session 2 result is scheduled to be declared by April 20. Stay tuned for live updates regarding the result date, time, final answer key release, expected cutoff, marks vs rank analysis, JoSAA counselling, and other important details.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result Overview
The NTA will declare the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results on or before April 20 on the official website www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. The result will include the cutoff percentile required to qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 along with the All India Rank (AIR) of candidates. These ranks will play a crucial role in seat allocation and admissions to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JoSAA counselling.
However, the NTA has not yet officially confirmed the release date for the final answer key of JEE Main Session 2. The final answer key will contain revised answers after evaluating objections raised by candidates against the provisional answer key. This final version will be used to calculate the scores for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results.
Typically, the NTA releases the final answer key a few hours or days prior to the result announcement. Hence, both the result and the final answer key are expected to be released anytime soon on the official website.
JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result Date and Time
Based on previous trends, JEE Main Session 2 results are usually announced 12–13 days after the exam concludes. Although April 20 has been officially specified, there have been instances in the past where results were declared earlier.
That said, in the past two years, the NTA has avoided early announcements. In fact, last year’s result was delayed by two days, while in 2024, it was released exactly on the scheduled date.
Considering this pattern, it is highly probable that the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result will be released on April 20 rather than earlier. Results are generally published in the late evening or night hours.
| Year | Exam Date | Session 2 Result Date | Set Result Date |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | April 1 to 8 | April 19 | by April 17 |
| 2024 | April 4 to 9 | April 25 | by April 25 |
