JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Admit Card Released: Hall Ticket Download, Exam Dates, Shift Timings, Dress Code & Guidelines: New Delhi, 20 January 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit cards for the first set of exam dates. Lakhs of engineering aspirants across India can now download their hall tickets from the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in and prepare for one of the most competitive entrance exams in the country.


How to Download the JEE Main 2026 Admit Card

Candidates must visit the official website and log in using their application number and date of birth or password to access their hall ticket. It is mandatory to take a printoutof the admit card as it will be verified at the exam centre.

JEE Main Session 1 – Exam Schedule & Shift Timings

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examinations will be conducted between January 21 and January 29, 2026, across multiple days with morning and afternoon shifts:

Paper 1 – BE/BTech

  • January 21 to 24 & January 28
    1st Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Paper 2 – BArch & BPlanning

  • January 29
    Single Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Important: Admit cards for the exams on January 28 and 29 will be released separately soon by NTA.

Exam Day Reporting & Entry Times

Candidates must arrive at their examination centres well before the gate closing time to complete verification and security checks:

  • Morning Shift: Entry between 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

  • Afternoon Shift: Entry between 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
    Late arrivals will not be permitted into the exam hall.

 


Dress Code & What to Carry

To ensure smooth entry and avoid last-minute hassles, aspirants should strictly follow the dress code and exam day guidelines:

Permitted Items

  • Printed JEE Main 2026 admit card

  • Valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc.)

  • Transparent water bottle

  • Simple stationery

Not Allowed

  • Electronic gadgets (mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators)

  • Bags, wallets, and purses

  • Jewellery, metallic accessories

  • Study material or books inside the exam hall

Candidates wearing religious attire should report earlier to allow time for proper verification.

Important Exam Day Guidelines

  • Ensure your admit card shows a clear barcode/QR code.

  • Double-check your exam city, centre address, and shift timing on the hall ticket.

  • Discrepancies should be reported to the NTA helpline immediately:
    011-40759000 (between 10 AM – 5 PM) or email at jeemain@nta.ac.in.

Last-Minute Tips for Candidates

  • Visit the exam centre once before the exam day if possible.

  • Keep extra printouts of your admit card and photo ID.

  • Stay updated with any last-minute official notices on the NTA website.
