JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Live Updates: Application Process, Direct Link, Required Documents & Fee Details: JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration live updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to commence the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration process shortly.


The official portal for submitting the application form is jeemain.nta.nic.in Interested candidates can check details related to the Session 2 examination schedule, application procedure, registration dates, question paper and answer key updates, and other important information regarding the JEE Main 2026 application form. As per the schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026. More details are provided below.

The JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 registration start date will be announced soon by NTA. Candidates must apply through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in for the April 2026 attempt. Students planning to appear for the JEE Main April session are advised to verify their eligibility criteria in advance and keep all required documents and information ready. Candidates who have already applied for Session 1 are also eligible to register separately for Session 2.

NTA will conduct the JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 examination from April 2 to April 9 in two shifts each day. Aspirants appearing for the JEE Main April attempt can utilize memory-based JEE Main 2026 question papers to strengthen their preparation strategy.

What’s New in the JEE Mains 2026 Application Process?

This year, NTA has introduced a few updates in the JEE Main 2026 application process, which candidates must note carefully:

Aadhar e-KYC

Under this system, candidates’ basic information such as name, date of birth, photograph, and gender will be verified through the Aadhaar e-KYC database. Applicants are advised to ensure that all Aadhaar details are accurate and updated. In case of any discrepancy, candidates will be informed and required to update their details by visiting the nearest Aadhaar enrolment or update centre.

Live Photo Capture

While filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form, a live photograph of the candidate will be captured using the webcam of a laptop or computer. If the live photo capture feature is not supported on the candidate’s system, they will be given the option to upload a live photograph using a QR code generated during the application process. Additionally, candidates must also upload a scanned passport-size photograph as per NTA specifications at the time of registration.

Documents to Keep Ready Before JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Begins

Candidates applying for the NTA JEE Main April 2026 session must keep the following documents and details prepared in advance:

  • Valid and active mobile number and email ID

  • Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate

  • Aadhaar card

  • Scanned photograph and signature (as per NTA guidelines)

  • OBC-NCL / EWS category certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD / PwBD certificate (if applicable)

  • Net banking, credit card, or debit card details for fee payment

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2026?

The JEE Main 2026 application form can be filled in online mode only. Once the JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 registration link is activated, candidates can complete the application by following the steps below:

  • Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in

  • Click on the registration link available on the homepage or on the relevant application page.

  • Enter the required details and create a password of your choice.

  • Submit the details. After successful registration, an application number will be sent to the registered mobile number.

  • Log in using the application number and password to complete the remaining sections, including personal information, educational qualifications, choice of paper, preferred exam cities, and document uploads.

  • Pay the JEE Main application fee using the available online payment modes and submit the form.

After submitting the application form, candidates can check their application status through the JEE Main Login 2026 portal. Following the completion of the registration process, NTA will open the application correction window in the last week of February. Candidates who wish to edit or modify their application details can do so within the specified correction period.
