MBA Admissions 2026: IIM Kozhikode Announces PI Shortlist for 2026–28 Batch, Detailed Selection Process Here: IIM Kozhikode MBA PI Shortlist 2026 Released: Aspirants must strictly satisfy the specified eligibility conditions to successfully complete Stage 1 registration for the Personal Interview shortlist. These requirements are compulsory and non-negotiable.

IIM Kozhikode MBA Admissions 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has officially published the Personal Interview (PI) shortlist for admission to its MBA programmes for the 2026–28 academic session. Candidates who have received an official email invitation for the PI round are required to complete the online shortlist registration to remain eligible for further stages of the admission process.

To proceed, applicants should visit the official website of IIM Kozhikode and go to the PGP Admissions section. On the MBA admissions portal, choose Stage 1 Registration and enter the mobile number that was used during the CAT 2025 application. After validating the OTP, candidates can continue with the registration process.

After logging in, applicants must accurately complete the PI shortlist application form, furnish all mandatory details, and upload the required supporting documents. Submission of the form will mark the completion of this stage.

IIM Kozhikode PI Shortlist 2026: Eligibility Criteria

To complete Stage 1 registration for the PI shortlist, candidates must fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions. These norms are mandatory and must be complied with in full.

Applicants must possess a three-year bachelor’s degree under the 10+2 education system with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD categories). Candidates who do not hold a traditional bachelor’s degree but have professional qualifications such as CA, CMA (ICWA), or CS must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the respective examinations.

Candidates shortlisted for the WAT and PI rounds are evaluated using a composite score based on multiple parameters, as detailed below:

Selection Process

IIM Kozhikode follows a structured three-stage admission process, outlined below:

Stage 1

Candidates who selected IIM Kozhikode during the CAT application process and meet the eligibility criteria will receive an email invitation to complete the online admission registration. Only those who successfully submit this registration will advance to the next evaluation stage.

Stage 2

In this phase, applicants are shortlisted category-wise using an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS takes into account CAT scores, Class 10 and Class 12 academic performance, duration of work experience, and diversity-related factors such as gender and academic background.

Stage 3

Candidates shortlisted in Stage 2 must appear for a Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI). After these assessments, separate merit lists are prepared for each category based on CAT, WAT, PI scores, and the overall candidate profile. Admission offers are issued strictly according to merit and applicable reservation policies.


Reservation Policy

IIM Kozhikode adheres to the Government of India’s reservation norms for admissions to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).

The weightage assigned to each component in the AIS is as follows:

Candidates shortlisted will be required to participate in a Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI).

These assessment rounds will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode across six cities: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and New The entire evaluation will be completed within a single half-day session, scheduled either in the forenoon or afternoon.

During the WAT, candidates will be required to write an essay on a topic revealed at the test venue immediately before the exam begins. This will be followed by the PI round, where applicants will be assessed on communication skills, attitude, overall personality, general and business awareness, aptitude for liberal studies, managerial and leadership potential, and the relevance and quality of prior work experience, if applicable.

After the completion of all WAT and PI rounds, final composite scores will be calculated by combining AIS, WAT, and PI scores. Based on these scores, overall and category-wise merit lists will be prepared, and admission offers will be extended strictly on the basis of merit, in line with the Government of India’s reservation policy.
