According to the updated guidelines, candidates wishing to participate in subsequent counselling rounds for seat upgradation can now do so without completing physical admission formalities at their currently allotted institution. Once a candidate selects the "Upgrade" or "Willing to Upgrade" option, the allotted seat remains safely secured in the MCC counselling software while the candidate competes for a better seat in the upcoming rounds.
Online Seat Resignation Now Available
Another major reform introduced by the MCC is the facility for online resignation of allotted seats.
Earlier, candidates who wished to withdraw from their allotted seats had to visit their respective colleges personally and submit the necessary resignation documents. Under the revised counselling rules, candidates can now submit resignation requests directly through the official MCC counselling portal within the prescribed schedule, eliminating unnecessary travel and paperwork.
NRI Quota Verification Becomes Fully Digital
Candidates applying under the NRI quota in deemed universities will also benefit from a completely digital verification process.
Instead of physically submitting sponsorship and relationship documents, applicants can now upload all required eligibility documents directly through the MCC online portal.
