According to the official MCC notification, the seat was withdrawn following communication from the concerned medical institute, specifically Government Medical College, Manjeri in Kerala, resulting in the cancellation of one All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS seat in the Open/Non-Category before the Special Stray Round allotment begins. Candidates participating in the NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round 2025 counselling are advised to carefully review the updated seat matrix on the MCC’s official website before filling choices as the revised matrix will reflect this removal, ensuring there are no erroneous expectations of available seats. The Special Stray Vacancy Round, aimed at filling remaining MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing seats after regular counselling rounds, commenced on 18th December 2025 and will continue through 31st December 2025 as per the MCC schedule.
Aspirants should also stay updated on fresh choice filling schedules and seat allotment timelines, as these administrative adjustments can impact overall seat availability and counselling outcomes during the final phases of the NEET-UG 2025 admissions cycle.
