MP NEET PG 2025 Mop-Up Round: Resignation and Seat Upgradation Window Activated: Candidates are strongly advised to go through all instructions and applicable penalty norms in detail before taking any action.
MP NEET PG 2025 Mop-Up Round Update: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has officially enabled the online facility for resignation and upgradation for candidates taking part in MP State Combined Counselling – NEET PG 2025 for MD/MS programmes. This update has been issued through an official notification dated 30 January 2026.


According to the notice, the resignation and upgradation option is now live. Candidates who intend to resign from their allotted seat or wish to opt for upgradation during the Mop-Up Round can access the relevant link by logging into their candidate account on the official counselling website www.dme.mponline.gov.in.

Important Penalty Conditions for Resignation

The counselling authority has clearly stated that penalties will be imposed in line with the existing rules for candidates choosing to resign:

  • ₹2 lakh penalty for Non-NRI candidates

  • ₹10 lakh penalty for NRI candidates

Additionally, even though the resignation process is initiated online, candidates must physically report to the medical college where they are currently admitted to formally complete the resignation procedure.

Mop-Up Round Upgradation Facility

Candidates who are interested in modifying their seat preferences for possible upgradation in the Mop-Up Round can exercise this option by selecting “Willingness to Upgrade”through their candidate login dashboard on the counselling portal.
