According to the official notice, many candidates who secured seats under MCC Round 1 have also been allotted seats through their state counselling rounds. To allow such candidates to join the seats allotted by their state authorities, MCC has enabled online resignation from Round 1 AIQ PG seats.
Resignation Window
- Starts: 8 December 2025, 04:00 PM
- Ends: 10 December 2025, 06:00 PM
Candidates must physically visit their allotted college to formally vacate the seat. MCC has emphasized that all resignations must be updated by the institutes on the intra-MCC portal. Any resignation not recorded by the college will be treated as “Null & Void.”
Reason Behind the Decision
- Delay in completion of Round 1 state counselling in several states
- Adjustments in state counselling Round 2 schedules
- Candidates receiving seats through state counselling after MCC Round 1
- Ensuring maximum availability of seats for AIQ Round 2 choice filling
This move aims to prevent students from losing better opportunities while ensuring an efficient redistribution of seats for the upcoming NEET PG 2025 Round 2 counselling
