NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2025 Released: Complete Timeline for AIQ, Deemed, Central and State Quotas: The official NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2025 has been released, detailing the complete admission timeline for postgraduate medical courses across All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and State Quotas. The schedule outlines key dates for Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Stray Vacancy rounds, joining deadlines, and the commencement of the academic session.

As per the notification, the NEET PG 2025 counselling process will begin in October 2025, with multiple rounds extending until the end of January 2026. The counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for AIQ, Deemed and Central Universities, while respective State Counselling Authorities/DMEs will manage state quota admissions.

Key Highlights of NEET PG Counselling Schedule 2025

  • Round 1 Counselling for AIQ, Deemed and Central Universities will be conducted from October 17 to November 22, 2025.
  • State quota Round 1 counselling will take place between November 21 and December 1, 2025.
  • The last date for joining after Round 1 is December 1, 2025 for AIQ and December 7, 2025 for state quota seats.
  • Round 2 counselling is scheduled from December 5 to December 16, 2025 for AIQ, while state counselling will be held from December 10 to December 21, 2025.
  • Round 3 counselling will begin in the last week of December and continue till January 2026.
  • The Stray Vacancy Round is scheduled from January 15 to January 21, 2026 for AIQ seats and January 21 to January 24, 2026 for state quota seats.
  • The final last date for joining all allotted seats is January 31, 2026.

Importantly, the academic session for NEET PG 2025 courses will commence on December 22, 2025. Authorities have also clarified that Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Holidays will be treated as working days to ensure timely completion of the counselling process.

Additionally, data of joined candidates from state counselling authorities will be shared with MCC to facilitate weeding out of seats during Round 3 counselling, ensuring transparency and efficient seat allocation.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website and respective state counselling portals for detailed notifications, seat matrices, choice filling schedules, and joining instructions to avoid missing crucial deadlines.
