NEET UG 2026 Counselling: Can Candidates Apply for AIQ and State Quota Together?

Yes.

Candidates are permitted to participate in both:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling, and

  • 85% State Quota Counselling

Applying for both counselling processes significantly improves the chances of securing an MBBS or BDS seat.

However, candidates must note:

  • Separate registrations are required for AIQ and each State Counselling.

  • Separate counselling fees may be applicable.

  • Candidates must comply with the respective state counselling schedules and eligibility criteria.

State Counselling Schedule

As of now, no state has officially released the counselling schedule for 85% State Quota seats.

Most states are expected to announce their counselling calendars after MCC publishes the All India Quota counselling schedule.

West Bengal has initiated preliminary merit list activities, while detailed counselling dates are still awaited.
