The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to announce the official exam date for NEET UG 2026very soon. As per expectations, the NEET 2026 examination may be conducted on May 3, 2026, which falls on the first Sunday of the month. However, candidates must note that the confirmed date will be declared only through the official notification available on neet.nta.nic.in.

The NEET UG 2026 registration process will begin simultaneously with the release of the official notification. Eligible candidates will be required to complete the online application process and pay the applicable registration fee. NEET UG 2026 Syllabus Released by NTA

The National Testing Agencyhas published the official NEET UG 2026 syllabus. Notably, the syllabus for NEET 2026 remains the same as the one earlier notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on its official website.

NTA Advisory on Aadhaar, UDID & Category Certificate Update

On January 5, 2026, the NTA issued an advisory requesting candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar Card, UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities), and Category Certificate are updated and valid before filling out the NEET UG 2026 application form. Candidates are strongly advised to complete any necessary updates in advance to avoid issues during registration.

The Aadhaar card must include the following details:

• Name

• Date of Birth

• Gender

• Photograph

• Address

• Biometric Information (wherever applicable)

NEET UG 2026 Registration Date & Application Process

The NEET UG 2026 application form will be released shortly. Candidates will have to complete the registration and application process in online mode only. The step-by-step process to apply for the NEET exam is given below:

• Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in

• Click on the New Registration link

• Read and accept the agreement by ticking the checkbox

• Enter the required details and generate a password

• Log in again using the credentials and complete the application form

• Pay the registration fee online

• Submit the form and save/download the confirmation page

NEET UG 2026 Registration Fees

Candidates are required to pay the NEET 2026 registration fee through online modes. The category-wise application fee details are provided below:
