What Does the FLOAT Option Mean in NEET UG Counselling?

The FLOAT option allows an eligible candidate to retain the seat allotted during NEET UG Counselling Round 1 while also remaining eligible for possible upgradation to a better or preferred seat in a subsequent counselling round, subject to the applicable counselling rules.

However, candidates choosing this option are required to complete the necessary admission and document-verification formalities within the deadlines specified by the MCC.

They should also check their final admission status on September 1, 2026, after the institute-level admission confirmation process is completed.
