NTA Opens Scribe Submission Portal for PwD/PwBD Candidates Ahead of NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination; Check Deadline, Eligibility and Process: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a dedicated online facility allowing eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates to submit details of their scribes for the upcoming NEET UG 2026 re-examination. The move aims to ensure smoother examination arrangements and accessibility support for candidates who require writing assistance during the national-level medical entrance examination.

According to the latest official update, the Scribe Details Portal has been activated for candidates eligible to avail themselves of scribe support during the examination process. Candidates must complete the submission of their scribe information within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute issues and ensure approval of their exam-day assistance request.

Scribe Submission Window and Deadline

NTA has clarified that the online portal for entering scribe information will remain available only for a limited period. Eligible candidates are required to complete the process and submit the details no later than June 12, 2026, up to 11:50 PM through the official NEET examination portal.

Authorities have advised candidates not to wait until the final hours, as delays or incomplete submissions may affect the approval of scribe facilities.

Who Can Use the Scribe Facility?

The facility has been introduced specifically for candidates belonging to the PwD/PwBD category who are eligible for examination assistance under applicable examination guidelines. The portal enables such candidates to formally register and validate the details of the individual who will act as their scribe during the exam.

Candidates should carefully review eligibility conditions and ensure that all submitted details match the documentation provided during registration.

Step-by-Step Process to Submit Scribe Details

Eligible candidates can complete the registration process by following these steps:

1.    Visit the official NEET examination portal.

2.    Log in using the application number and password.

3.    Open the candidate dashboard.

4.    Locate and select the “Register Scribe Details” option.

5.    Enter the required information related to the scribe.

6.    Review all details carefully before final submission.

7.    Submit and download the confirmation for future reference.

Once submitted successfully, the entered information will reflect in the candidate’s application records and confirmation page.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates have been advised to:

  • Verify spelling and identity details before submission.

  • Ensure supporting documents are available if required.

  • Keep copies of confirmation records.

  • Monitor official notifications regularly for any further updates.

NTA has also indicated that incomplete or incorrect information may create complications during examination-day verification procedures.

Exam City Slip Already Released; Admit Card Expected Soon

In parallel with the accessibility arrangements, NTA has already released the exam city intimation slips for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. The city slip helps candidates identify the allotted examination city and make travel arrangements in advance.

However, candidates should note that the city intimation slip is different from the admit card. The admit card will include examination centre details, reporting instructions, roll number, and other mandatory information needed for entry into the examination hall. Reports indicate that the admit card release is expected shortly before the examination date.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Schedule

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 21, 2026, in offline mode across designated examination centres in India. Candidates eligible for scribe support are encouraged to complete all formalities early to ensure a seamless examination experience.
