Expected Cutoff Trends and Exam Difficulty
This year’s VITEEE examination witnessed mixed reactions from candidates across different shifts. While some students described the paper as easy to moderate, others found several shifts unexpectedly difficult. According to student feedback and expert analysis, the overall difficulty level across most shifts was comparable to the JEE Main examination standard.
Reports suggest that a safe number of good attempts ranged between 85 and 90 questions out of 125. Due to the relatively tougher paper in several shifts, experts believe the cutoff ranks for popular branches may witness slight variations this year.
Highly competitive branches such as CSE, AI & ML, Data Science, and Cyber Security are expected to remain in high demand during counselling, especially at the Vellore and Chennai campuses.
Counselling Process After Result Declaration
Candidates who qualify in VITEEE 2026 will be invited for online phase-wise counselling based on their ranks. During counselling, students will be required to choose their preferred campus, branch, and programme combinations.
Authorities are expected to release the detailed counselling schedule, fee payment dates, and seat allotment process shortly after the declaration of results.
