Annapoorna Engineering College (Autonomous) AEC is a Premier Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. It was instituted in the year 2010. The College was promoted by the famous Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. Dr A Shanmugasundaram is the Founder Chairman. Mr.N.V.Chandrasekar is the Chairman of the Governing Council. The College believes in the principle of social justice that was powerfully enunciated and enshrined in the constitution of Indian Republic. It aims at producing “Industry Ready World Class Engineers”.

The College is located on a semi Rural set up with green and open surroundings on a 14 Acre Campus situated on Sankari Main Road, NH-47, Periyaseeragapadi, Salem Dist, Tamil Nadu.

Annapoorna Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and has affiliation to Anna University, Chennai. The college is accredited with an "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC) and also has a National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) data capturing system. The College was granted Autonomous Status by the Universities Grant Commission (UGC)

AEC offers UG and PG Programs including 7 B.E, 2 B.Tech and 2 M.E Degree Options in various disciplines. The College has Scholarships for the Financially Needy and for those with Merit in Sports and Aacademics. Scholarships based on Socially Backward Status too is offered to those eligible.

To facilitate easy access to the college, the college runs fifteen buses for students and staff from Salem, Namakkal, etc. Our transport facilities ensure that our students and staff can reach college on time. AEC operates approximately 9 to 15 college buses, providing transportation from Salem, Namakkal, and surrounding areas. These services are optional and are available to both students and staff. The annual transportation fees range between ₹5,000 and ₹9,000 per student.
