  When women education was not given much importance in 70’s in TamilNadu, our Founder President Thiru. Kulapathy A.P.C. Veerabahu thought of educating the poor rural girls who could not think of higher education. To give fillip to his thoughts, in 1973 our founder President started this college. We proudly place in record the fact that we do not collect fees from the economically weak students and we also provide concessions in the remittance of fees.

 Financial support is extended to the deserving students. Scholarships are provided by the Central Government and the State Government. Date of issuing applications and last date for submission are regularly announced. 90% attendance is necessary to avail such scholarships. Students can also avail private scholarships extended by the management, philanthropists and some private sectors.

  Adi-Dravidar Loan Scholarship: Only for SC / ST Hostellers

  Ad-hoc Merit Grant: Only for First year SC / ST Students who have got 60% of marks in the Higher Secondary Examination.

  Bright Student Awards and Merit-cum-Means Awards: Only for SC / ST students who have scored the highest marks in the district in SSLC and Higher Secondary Examination.

  Scholarship for the Children of school teachers: Children of School teachers with more than 60% marks.

  Tamilnadu Educational Trust Scholarship: for first year students with 60% marks provided they are not in receipt of any other scholarship

EVR Nagamaiyar Scholarship

  Students who avail First Generation Scholarship are expected to refund the scholarship amount to the Government in case of discontinuing the course.

Library

  The College has All library functions are computerized with barcode technology. The library is equipped with an excellent collection of books, journals, e-journals, and non-book materials in  Science, Humanities, Management, and General for the welfare of the students and the members of the staff. The library has a total collection of 29,514 volumes and also a good collection of reference materials, especially for Tamil literature. Books related to competitive exams are also available.

Lodging and establishment changes are to be paid in advance in each term. The hostel in maids has to add here to the rules and regulations of the hostel, strictly.
