Overview

Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College was founded by Bhaktavatsalam Memorial Trust in memory of late Shri. M. Bhaktavatsalam the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The college was established in the year 1993 – 1994 at Periyar Nagar, Korattur, Chennai – 600 080.

Late Shri. M. Bhaktavatsalam being a great statesman and an erudite scholar was deeply devoted to the cause of women’s education. With this sole aim of serving for the betterment of women through education, Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College imparts education to create generations of intellectually excellent, morally upright and professionally sound women to illuminate their own homes and their home land.

Admission Process

Process 1
Prospectus and Application form can be obtained from the college office at a reasonable fee towards cost of application or can be downloaded from the web site and the cost of the application form should be remitted at the time of submission.

Process 2
Filled- in application form should be submitted in the college office along with a registration fee.

Process 3
Admission card will be sent to the provisionally selected candidates who will be called for an interview.

Process 4
Candidates for admission will be required to bring the following attested copies at the time of interview .

Candidates finally selected in the interview will be admitted on payment of the prescribed fees for the respective course after which their names will be entered in the rolls of the college and confirmation of admission is given.

Scholarship

Scholarship Provisions:

Fees are paid for the semester wise first 15k then will be increased by 2000 or 3000 but they will get a fine amount if we didn't pay the fees by their last day means the fine amount will be allotted per day 500 fine. Scholarships are available in this college I personally don't know about the financial assistance and Yes, the campus is also available now they announced new companies to campus our campus is in charge grace mam did these things.

I haven't adopted any scholarship from the college but some of my friends have adopted scholarships like sc st scholarship, minority scholarship, central govt merit scholarship, etc.

Girls Hostel
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. A well-equipped hostel that has 3 dormitories that can accommodate 35 members.
Medical/Hospital
The Health Care Centre offers free medical care to students and faculty for minor ailments and first aid in case of emergency. It is manned by a healthcare professional who manages the various aspects of the facility. It is open from 9 am to 5 pm on all working days.
Library
The library is fully automated with the Autolib software system and digitalized. It houses a rich collection of textbooks, reference books, national and international journals in all disciplines. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. The open-access system is followed in the library. The Digital Library provides online resources for students interested in Computer Assisted Learning.
Sports
The college has sports facilities for all students. With an Indoor and Outdoor games facility.
I.T Infrastructure
The Departments of Computer Science, Computer Applications and Information Technology are equipped with excellent, sophisticated computer laboratories with state-of-the-art computing facilities and latest systems configuration. The UG and PG courses maintain separate labs with the student-machine ratio as 1:1. The labs accommodate around 150 systems which are fully networked and up-to-date software requirements with respect to the curriculum have been installed to cater to the needs of the students of the UG/ PG streams. Internet with Wi-Fi facility is also available in the laboratories. The students are given practical training in a variety of software to meet the challenges in the IT industry. In addition to the academic practicals, internet browsing, student marks/nominal roll entry as per the University’s regulations and soft skill training for the students of the college are also administered through the computer labs.
Cafeteria
The college is equipped with a fully functional vegetarian canteen with a good seating capacity where a variety of tasty, hygienically prepared food is available at subsidized rates. The canteen has a big kitchen and kitchen staff takes extra care to provide nutritious food to staff and students. The Canteen is open from 8.30 am to 5 pm on all working days.
Auditorium
Our college has a state-of-the-art Auditorium with a good seating capacity of around 600. It is well-equipped with an Audio -Video facility to conduct seminars, International and National conferences and cultural activities.
Laboratories
The college is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories that provide adequate hands-on training to the students in various disciplines of Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, Psychology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Language and Hotel, and Catering Management. The laboratories provide an ideal exposure for the students to develop their experimental skills.
