A Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) in Music is a 3 to 4 year undergraduate degree program that prepares students for careers in the music industry. The course focuses on Dance, Music and Drama/Theatre as its core subjects. There are various types of subjects taught in BPA Music course like Folk Music, Indian Dances, Rabindra Sangeet etc.

Admission Procedure For B.P.A Music:

The admission process for a Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) in Music course in India may include the following steps:

  • Register and apply online or offline with the required information
  • Some colleges offer admission based on your 10+2 marks
  • Other institutions may require you to take an entrance exam. The exam typically assesses the candidate’s musical aptitude and knowledge.
  • Eligible candidates must appear for an entrance exam that may include a practical test and viva-voce
  • Admission is based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam

Eligibility For B.P.A  Music:

  • 10+2 years of schooling from a recognized board (CBSE or equivalent) with Music as one of the subjects
    or a Diploma certificate in Music 
  • Minimum of two years’ music training in the concerned subject, for which, a letter/certificate has to be produced from the teacher during the Music Aptitude Test
  • Either passed or appeared for Final exams at XII Standard before Admissions. If not appeared for XII Standard exams, X and XI Standard marks will be considered
  • Consistent academic performance of 60% aggregate marks in X and/or XII Standard
  • Preferably below 19 years as of 30th June in the year of admission
