The College: The Cardamom Planters’ Association College established in the year 1974, is a co-educational institution affiliated to ‘Madurai Kamaraj University’. It is administered by the Management of the Cardamom Planters’ Association. The Campus provides an excellent ambience conducive to the pursuit of higher learning.

The objective of the college is to provide the economically backward students quality access to the higher education. It offers both Aided and Self-Financing programs.

It facilitates a well integrated scheme of formal instruction, Mentor system and personal guidance. It prepares the students for various opportunities in the areas of higher education aiming at rural opliftment. The college possess a green campus of more than 42 acres nestling at the foothills of the beautiful Western Ghats located about three kilometres west of Bodinayakanur town on the BodiMunnar Nation Highway. The imporing buildings of the college view with tall mountains nearby.

State of the art laboratory, library, separate hostels for boys and girls, beautiful playground, modern gym, indoor stadium for badminton , volley ball and basket ball, Careerguidance, and placement cell, Remedial Coaching, IAS academy, UGC NET/Set coaching facilities and required facilities are highlights of the institution.

·  While applying online, photograph (Student's photo, Father's photo, Mother's photo) (Size of photograph should be less than 50 KB in .jpg format) & photo copies of transfer certificate, mark statements(both 11th and 12th), community certificate, Aadhaar, etc. (The scanned copy of each document must be within 250 KB size in .jpg/.jpeg format.) are to be uploaded.

·  Application number will be generated only for online payments.

·  Applications without number are not eligible for the admission process.

·  All applicable Service/Processing charges & GST have to be paid by the candidate.

·  There is no online cancellation/refund policy. If you want cancellation/refund, contact CPA College administrative office.

·  No corrections will be permitted after the final submission of the online application

·  Correction in the particulars of the online application form can only be made before final submission. No corrections shall be allowed under any circumstances after the submission of application.

A full-fledged Placement Cell with a specially designated Placement Officer and a team consisting of link person from each department has been successfully functioning since 2006. The Cell has an annual agenda of activities towards improving the placement activities in the campus. The department link persons disseminate information on career opportunities and monitor student participation and training sessions. The Placement Officer takes strong initiatives to interact with various industries and as a result campus recruitment takes place at regular intervals. The Placement Cell also helps the students to participate in various off campus activities. Due to the sustained efforts of the Placement Cell more and more students get recruited every year.

Scholarships
Grand of scholarship from Governmentof India or State Government will be admissible to the students only when sanction orders are issued by appropriate authorities. The college is not responsible for the grant or non-grant of Government scholarships. All students are expected to pay their dues to college and hostel until sanction orders are issued by the authorities.

HOSTEL
Accommodation is available in the college Hostel for both men and women students. Separate application for admission to the Hostel should be made to the Principal / Warden. Hostel application form will be supplied by the hostel office only after admission to the college. The admission in the Hostel is for the academic year 2021- 2022 only. Continuation in the Hostel for the subsequent years will be considered by the Warden on fresh application and on the performance, progress on studies and his/her behaviour in the hostel.
 Separate hostels for boys and girls with basic modern amenities are available inside the
campus
 Both Vegetarian and Non- Vegetarian dishes are provided.
 The mineral water plant provides drinking water for all the 24 hrs
 The cost of boarding and lodging is met out by dividing system among the inmates

 The Department of Chemistry focused on the research area of Nano photocatalysis,
Electrochemical Bio-sensors. Adsorption, Mathematical Modeling, Synthetic organic chemistry
etc., Department also undertakes collaborated research work with State level colleges,
Universities, National and International universities. The department is DIST-FIST sponsored
Department. This is the only College with Chemistry Research Centre in Theni District.

Sports

The students actively participate in various sports, games, cultural and extracurricular activities.

The institution promotes the following sports and games: Indoor: Chess, Table tennis, Carom and Badminton 2 Outdoor: Track and Field Events, Football, Basketball, Hockey, Kho- Kho, Kabadi, Handball, Ball badminton, Tennis and Volleyball.
Every year the college conducts special coaching camps for the students in the above sports and games. As a result, our students bring many laurels to the college by winning many events.
The institution feels proud to produce National, State and District level athletes and players.
The college helps the District Association in organizing district leagues and inter-state matches.
Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu has recognized our institution as the only training centre in the entire district for imparting specialized training for the students. They also provide sports scholarship to our students.
Physical Education is made a mandatory part in Part-V of the curriculum.
The College received a sum of ` 70,00,000/- from UGC to construct the Indoor Stadium which is in progress.
The department organizes Police Fitness Training Camp for the benefit of our students. As a result, many of our students get recruited to the uniform services.
The college encourages the students to organize various cultural events within the college and to participate in competitions outside as well.
The college also provides opportunities for the students to expose their various skills such as Folk Arts, Instrumental Music, Literary talents, Classical and Western Dance, etc through the Fine Arts Club.
All the students at the UG level join any one of the extra-curricular activities like NSS, NCC and Sports to accomplish Part V of the curriculum.
The NCC of our college has emerged into a new force in the campus. It provides regular training to the cadets. In addition to that, it organizes several Voluntary and Intensive Skill Based programmes to the cadets.
The NSS, with its 3 Boys and 3 Girls units, does yeomen service to the society and also to the campus in creating awareness programmes and also cleaning programmes. It has secured many awards and laurels to the college.
Students are also actively involved in club activities like College Consumers’ Club, Red Ribbon Club and Youth Red Cross. Under these forums, many awareness camps, seminars, trainings and blood donation camps are organized.
