Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur, Rajasthan came into being as a State University of Govt. of Rajasthan by an Act No. 6 of 2019 dated 26th February 2019. The University, besides, it’s the residential campus at Jaipur, is mandated to have its jurisdiction in the entire State of Rajasthan to extend affiliation to all Law Colleges.
Dr. Dev Swarup, The founding Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University joined on 2nd March 2020. The University has been recognized by UGC under section 2 (f) of UGC Act, 1956, vide notification No. F.9-6/2020(CPP-I/PU) dated 12 May 2020 and also letter No. F.9-6/2020(CPP-I/PU) dated 14th May 2020.

The Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur shares the national vision of making quality the defining element of higher education in India. It is envisaged that the University will engage not only in its primary task of imparting education in Law to students from Rajasthan and outside, but will also undertake rigorous research programmes and other varied innovative extension activities in the academic arena.
All its extension activities will be aimed at raising legal awareness, promoting human rights and fostering inclusion in society. As the primary affiliating body for all law colleges in Rajasthan, it is to play a leading role in the pursuit of excellence in legal education and research in the region. The overall vision is to make the University a centre for the academic activity that will also contribute to the development of the state and the nation.

The core mission of the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur is to impart comprehensive legal education and, at the same time, to inculcate both professional dynamism and legal acumen within the students. Its objective is also to provide legal education which draws from a wide variety of interdisciplinary fields so that it is not just restricted to any one knowledge source.
The University strives to achieve these twin objectives and is in the incessant process of upgrading, updating and replenishing its curriculum and activities so as to achieve world-class standards in legal education. The mission includes efforts to create modern infrastructural facilities and provide students in with a stimulating learning environment.

Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University Jaipur admission is through entrance exam CLAT. Students have the option to apply both online and offline. The University releases its online application form every year.
