Good Shepherd College of Engineering and Technology is a renowned institute situated in Kanyakumari District.  It was established in the year 1988 under the aegis of the Good Shepherd Education Trust founded by an eminent educationist and philanthropist, Mr G D Mitra, who always desired and aspired to promote value-based education to the younger generations, mainly hailing from the rural areas. He first started the well-known Good Shepherd Matric HSS based at Marthandam, which is well reputed all over the state since excellence in education has been its goal.

The college is located in a beautiful 10 acre lush green campus in Maruthamparai, Kaliyal Village, (Kaliyal – Arukhani Road), Near Vellarada (Kerala-TamilNadu border), Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India.

The Good Shepherd College of Engineering and Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University.

The Good Shepherd College of Engineering and Technology offers a number of UG courses in the field of Engineering and Technology including 4 B.E and 1 B.Tech program with an intake of 60 students in each discipline.  Admissions to these courses are based on TNEA counselling.    It also offers admissions through Lateral entry.
