Jain Institute of Technology (JIT) situated in Davanagere is a Private Un-Aided college established in the year 2011.  This Institute is a unit of the Jain group of Institutions (JGI) that has been successfully extending its educational services to the community. As has been the tradition of Jain group of Institutions, Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere has been excelling in the field of Technical and Management education. The primary aim of JIT is to provide the highest quality of educational experience for students from every walk of life. Focus is on equipping the students for their desired careers, professionally, intellectually, and culturally allowing them to make most of the experience and prepare themselves in the best possible way for their future.

 
Jain Institute of Technology is centrally located in a lush green 16-acre campus attached with lake and is situated near Veereshwar Punyashrama, BADA Cross, Avaragere Village, Davanagere, Karnataka.   It is located adjacent to Pune-Bangalore National Highway, which is 7 Kms from Davanagere Railway Station.

 
JIT Davanagere is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and has the approval of AICTE, New Delhi. Three of its programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi (valid up to 30/06/2026).  

 
Jain Institute of Technology offers UG courses in engineering and PG courses in management disciplines.  The courses include B.E. in six specialisations and MBA in four specializations. JIT Davangere admissions are based on the performance in various entrance exams. For engineering courses, scores from Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, DCET, KCET, and COMEDK UGET are considered. For management courses, the institute accepts scores from CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, and GMAT.

 
JIT Davangere has excellent infrastructural facilities that include spacious Class rooms attached with tutorial rooms, well equipped Laboratories, Workshops, Drawing Halls, Seminar Halls, Digital Library, Staff  rooms, Computer Center with high speed internet connectivity, EDUSAT room, ATM, Canteen, Transportation, Central Office, Hostel, Auditorium, Skill Lab, Cafeteria, Clinic, Sports Centre, Gymnasium, Internet, Browsing Centre and Reprographic facility to the students.

Well experienced & Dedicated Faculty, a strong Students Mentorship program, Students’ Entrepreneurship Program & project preparation, Research & Development and Industrial Visits for Engineering students are some of the Student-centric programs conducted for academic purposes.  Cultural, NSS, Sports, Technical, Study tours and, Literary, JIT News Letters and Alumni Activities are conducted as an encouragement for extra-curricular activities.

Anti Ragging committee, Women's Cell, Squads and Girls Secure committee, Grievance Redressal committee, Career counseling, Medical facilities and Students Insurance were formed for taking care of welfare of the students and to avoided ragging, abuse, etc.

Placements @ Jain Institute of Technology, Davangere

Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of our Institute. Training activities are organized throughout the year in an effort towards preparing the prospective students for the campus selection programmes. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the Students.

The Cell is headed by a Training and Placement Officer (TPO) and T&P coordinator (TPC) and has members.
