ABOUT COLLEGE:

The college is a premier institution in the city of Mumbai, providing excellence in education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of Commerce and Economics, with specialization in Accountancy, Management, International Business and other emerging areas. The college has a range of programme options and courses relevant to the local needs and in tune with the emerging national and global trends. Professionalization of higher education is a daily practice at the College and it has been our constant endeavour to prepare future graduates and postgraduates for global challenges who could make a meaningful difference in the society.

The College is a Sindhi linguistic minority institution established in 1961 by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board to cater to the educational needs of students. It is permanently affiliated to the prestigious University of Mumbai. It is approved under Section 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. NAAC’s re-accreditation score in 2010 (Second Cycle) is 3.29 of 4.00 CGPA. The college aims to provide university education for deserving students irrespective of caste and creed. Over the years, MMK has established itself as one of the leading colleges in Mumbai. The institution has over 4000 students on its roll. It has made rapid strides in diverse fields and has introduced a variety of courses in keeping with the plurality of student needs

Admissions to all courses are on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. The steps to apply are as follows: 

• Visit the college administrative block and collect the application form by paying INR 100.
• Fill all the details correctly and recheck before moving on for the next process.
• Attach all the copies of the documents mentioned in the application form.
• Keep a Xerox copy of the filled application form before submitting the same to the college for the future reference.

The documents required for the admission process include: 

• Admission form in original (Green color).
• Original mark sheet of 10+2 or (H.S.C.) along with four attested Photocopies.
• Photocopy of 10th mark sheet
• Original mark sheet of Bachelor's degree (if applicable)
• Leaving Certificate with two attested Photocopies.
• Migration Certificate and Pass Certificate with two attested Photocopies (other than Maharashtra Board Students).
• Four passport size photographs.
• Leaving Certificate with two attested Photocopies.

Smt. Mithibai Motiram Kundnani College of Commerce and Economics was established in Mumbai. MMK College Mumbai provides B.Com, M.Com, BMM, and BMS program to the students on the basis of merits obtained in the previous qualifying examinations. The minimum eligibility required is 50% aggregate marks in the relevant subjects. Interested candidates need to visit the campus for the application process along with all the required documents.

Scholarship:

·         To motivate students to excel in academics as well as extra-curricular and co-curricular activities the college has instituted various scholarships.

·         Students who are overall toppers and subject toppers in FY, SY and TY of the traditional B.Com as well as Self-financed courses are awarded these scholarships.

·         Students are felicitated with trophies, cash awards and certificates.

·         Best Student of the Year trophies are awarded to Best T.Y. Students in traditional B.com and self-financed Course.

·         M.M.K Star Award trophies in the Best male and female category from all streams.

·         Scholarships are partly sponsored by the college management and partly by ex- teaching and ex-non-teaching staff and also by the present staff of our college including the Principal.
