Madha Institute of Engineering and Technology, is a pioneering institution in Chennai was established in 2009 under the aegis of Loordhu Ammal Educational Trust.  It is a reputed Christian Minority Institution started under self-financing scheme.  Founded by Ln. Dr. S. Peter, one of the early pioneers in the field of education in Tamil Nadu, the college is committed to provide quality education to the students, enabling them to excel in the fields of Science, Engineering, Technology and Management.

Dr.Ln.S.Peter who started his early life in his home town of Thirumaiyam in Pudukkottai District, started his journey in Education with the establishment this Engineering College in the year and has since established a number of educational institutions spanning across the disciplines of Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Management, Arts and Sciences as well as several CBSE and Matriculations Schools across the city of Chennai.

Madha Institute of Engineering and Technology is located in 11 acres of peaceful setting on NH45.  The college address is Bus stand, Chennai Bypass Road Flyover Bridge, behind Anakaputhur, Erandamkattalai, Sadanandapuram, Tharapakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

MIET Chennai is a private engineering college which is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Madha Institute of Engineering and Technology offers various UG courses and 1 PG program in the fields of Engineering , Technology and Management.  The Courses offered are B.E (in 6 Disciplines), B.Tech (in 2 Disciplines) and MBA.  Admission to B.Tech courses at MIET Chennai is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and TNEA counselling.
