WELCOME TO SECAB COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE

“Malik Sandal Institute of Art & Architecture” “MSIAA” (Named after “Malik Sandal” a 16th Century renowned Architect of the Adilshahi period) is established in the year 1991 with the permission of the Govt. of Karnataka, under G.O No. ED-157 UDC 91 dated 23/09/91, affiliated to the VTU (Visveswaraiah Technological University) Belgaum, Karnataka, Approved by the Council of Architecture (COA) New Delhi & the AICTE New Delhi.

23 years ago, MSIAA was established as a discipline of architecture and was recognized as a separate and independent college of Architecture by the council of architecture New Delhi. Past two decades now , the college has consistently excelled to enhance its reputation by having some very distinguished alumni inland and abroad.

Thanks to Vision of Eng. S.A.Punekar ,president of SECAB ASSOCIATION ,a committed educationist who sacrificed life for education and development of the citizens of Bijapur and the other regions of the country at large. Ar. B. D.Kudalkar was appointed as professor of architecture to lead the department , his successors, Professor , N.B. Shaikh and Dr. Anwar Imaduddin

During 01/12/1996 Dr. Anwar Imaruddin sir joined as a lecturer and in 25/11/2000 became Principal of the Institution and took the institution the college of architecture into a new modernist phase , making an impact on the city and other regions in and around the state and during 17/08/2011 taken incharge as Research Supervisor from VTU with their research acumen and he also involved in setting of of the “ Research Cell” for the institution in the year 2015.

With a clear focus on the advancement of Architecture, we aim at optimizing the use of available resources by preserving our environment.

Candidates should be completed 10+2 or 3 Years Diploma in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects / Equivalent Examination with 50% Marks (45% for SC/ST and OBC)
Pass in NATA test with 40% marks.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility for admission to 1st year of 5-year B.Arch. Degree program for the academic session 2022- 2023 shall be as per CoA (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020..

The eligibility in terms of Regulations, 2020 is as under:

* No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50 per cent.

* Aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent. marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 per cent. marks in aggregate.

* Candidates may note that no direct lateral admission is allowed at any year/semester/stage of B.Arch. course based on any qualification.

Placements:

Malik Sandal institute train students and offer placement assistance to seek jobs in the industry. They guide students to shape their careers by developing their personalities. They make sure to develop interpersonal skills and prepare them for upcoming challenges.

Scholarships:

Whether it is for financial assistance or to provide support in general for academics, there is a scholarship available for students. Students from minority, SC/ST, and whose parents are from the army are eligible for this. Students whose family annual income is less and cannot be affordable for studies are also suitable for scholarships.
