MB Veterinary College (MBVC)

MB Veterinary College, established in the year 2010, is a constituent institute of M.B. Health & Hygiene Nursing Shkishan Sansthan.  The objectives of starting this college is to impart quality Veterinary education as per the standards of Veterinary Council of India (VCI), in the field of Livestock Health Care and Management, and Animal Production Sciences and Technologies, to inculcate interest in Livestock Production as an industry in private sector and to develop entrepreneur skills for self employment and also to facilitate preventive, curative and rehabilitative Animal Health care with optimum Livestock Productivity and ensuring safety in human health.  It has been growing as a Centre of Excellence in providing Education and Training in Veterinary field.

M.B. Vetrinary College is located in Dadoriya Village, near Railway Station, Dungarpur, Rajasthan, India.  College is situated in the sprawling vast area surrounded by natural Serene Beauty along with backdrop for great Educational Vision.

MBVC is Recognised by Government of Rajasthan and is Approved by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi.  The college is Affiliated to Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS).

MB Veterinary College offers 5 year BVSc&AH Degree (80 seats) and 2 year AHDP (50 seats).  Admission of candidates to BVSc.& AH Degree course shall be made only on the basis of his/her merit in the NEETexamination. No other merit/weightage shall be considered for admission to BVSc&AH Degree course.

MB Veterinary College provides more than adequate infrastructure which includes Modern Seminar Hall/Multipurpose Hall with Audio/Visual equipments, High tech Classrooms, Sports and Games, Environment Friendly Lecture Halls, Well-Established Library, Well-Equipped  Laboratories, Modern Computer Lab with Internet Facility, Drinking water facility with R. MBVC has its state-of-the-art buildings and excellent facilities for clinical practice.  The sophisticated instruments render the TVCC department competent to treat the animals in the highest order.  College has well equipped VCC with outdoor and indoor patients sections and client accommodation facilities.  It has medicals, surgical, gynecological, diagnostic and ambulatory clinical section.  The college has a well developed LFC with livestock units and infrastructure for maintenance of livestock, animals of different species, storage facilities for feed and fodder with a large sized fodder production area.

The faculty of MBVC is made up of talented, dedicated teachers drawn from across the country who have exposure in some of the well-known veterinary colleges in India.  The hard work and dedication put in by the management and the devotion and enthusiasm of staff and faculty members combined with the zeal of students has led the college to scale new heights.  The college ensures that students passing out from this college emerge as good citizens who contribute to the growth and development of society in general and Nation as a whole.

Vision
The vision of college is to be a center of Excellence in teaching, research and extension education in the field of veterinary and Animal Science.
Produce competent and skilled human resources who are socially sensitive, skilled and responsible professionals in the field of animal heath.
Undertake region-based, need-based and basic research for improving animal health and productivity by adopting modern technology including value addition.
Provide efficient extension services at the door step of poor and marginal farmers and livestock owners and motivating them to adopt animal husbandry, poultry, and related vocations as an engine of economic growth and social empowerment.

Admissions are made under two categories (Regular & Management Seats)
Regular Seats (40)
Admissions are made by the NEET as per rules and regulations made by Central Govt./State Govt./University.
1. The test is conducted annually, after qualifying (10+2)examinations, in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.
2. Provisional admission of the Candidates is granted whose results are awaited for the qualifying examinations by the Board/ University.
Management Quota Seats (40)
1. Admissions to BVSc & AH course under this category are open to the students from different Indian States/Union territories.
Note: Original certificates satisfying VCI eligibility norms, will have to be produced by the candidate, while seeking admissions.

MB Veterinary College - MVC aims to provide placement assistance for all eligible students. Placement is a privilege extended to the students giving them updates regarding Jobs and Campus Placements.  Students who are interested in placements need to register online for updates. 

There are many types of scholarship for student in principle office, for this it is neccesary to give the application on time.
Following are given some scholarshipes:
(1) National ability scholarship.
(2) National loan scholarship.
(3) Admission and examination scholarship.
(4) Scholarship according to income of SC.and Backword.
(5) HP scholarship.
(6) Scholarship for General according to income.
(7) scholarship for poor and intelligent students.

In addition to department, College provides common and administrative facilities- i.e.- Dean office, visitors room, committee room, office room (for office staff, general, academics, accountant and establishment section), central store, personal staff room, toilet facilities for visitors, office staff and students, record room, photocopying facility, canteen, conference hall, seminar room, 5 nos. lecture halls, examination hall, drinking water facility, playground, boys hostel, girls hostel, animal houses for small laboratory animals, central computer lab, central diagnostic lab, microphotography and processing unit, transport facility, artificial insemination centre, parental medical hospital for students and staff and cold room facility.

MultiPurpose Hall
The college have a big size auditorium which is equipped with LCD projector and a very good public address system and can seat a gathering of 500. An impressive and spacious stage front steps facilitates better performance of cultural, seminars, presentations and other events conducted here.
The Seminar Hall is well equipped with the latest audiovisual gadget. It is used for a host of activities such as guest lectures, project presentations, workshops etc. The Project presentation is accompanied by live demos of projects on computer. This not only provides students with a larger critical audience, it also gives them confidence in public speaking and interacting with their peers

All lecture halls are spacious, equipped with modern teaching aids and provides comfortable and conducive environment for learning.

LCD projector, slide projector, O.H.P. and audio cassettes on different subjects are available for the students’ education as learning resources. In addition, the college students shall also have access to the Computer Lab with internet connectivity.

Library
Veterinary College has a huge sized library hall having area around 4000 sqft. accomodating seperate reading facility to teaching faculty , staff & students with comfortable sitting arrangements. College has a Wi-fi internet facility to provide e-journels & e-learning. It has a large stock of books as refrence & text books arround 4000 in number and it facilited with magzines newspapers journels & perodicals to intract the stuydents and faculty with veterinaay science.
Our computerized library is extensive, well ventilated, and spacious with comfortable seating arrangements.. Every student is provided sufficient books according to his/her need. At a time two books are issued for 15 days to the students and charge of Rs. 10/delayed day is imposed to the students. Library has huge collection of text & reference books, journals and E-journals. The library has a quality Xerox & Internet facility for the students & Staff. To Follow the Rules & Regulation of the library is mandatory for students as well as faculty

Games & Sports

Team-work decides the effort and multiplies the effect. Games & Sports are very important in any educational institution for mental and physical development of the student of any age group.
Games and Sports keep one physically and mentally fit, and keep away from diseases. Games and Sports have plenty of advantages. Games and Sports develop a spirit of self confidence, discipline, justice and patriotism. "Health is wealth" . A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. One can develop and maintain a healthy body by actively participating in Games and Sports. Games keep our body active, youthful and energetic. Games and Sports provide us with recreation and enjoyment. Sports men receive preference in jobs. Sports bring fame and reputation. Participation in Game and Sports will improve the overall health of the nation and its Citizens.

Game and Activities
Exposure Tour
Every year the college provides an opportunity for an educational tour. Students comings from different parts of the state get a good chance to see the neighboring states.

Sports Activities
Apart from regular routine academic course, the college provides full activities of games and sports for girls and boys.
The college arranges a four days socially useful productive work and community services camp.It is helpful in increasing brother hood among students.

Cultural Activities
Co-curricular activities are essential for all round development of a student.
A four days cultural activities competition is organized every year. This includes seminars, workshops, camps, debates group discussions and celebrations of national important days.

Vyakhyan Mala
Every year the college arranges a 5 days series of lectures of all educationalist and other directors. The University team of visitors has highly appreciated this unique activities of the college. People working in different fields are invited for lectures.
