About the College

Nandha Arts and Science College (NASC), Erode, has been established in the year 2000 under Sri Nandha Educational Trust (SNET). SNET was founded in 1992 by Thiru.V.Shanmugan, Chairman cum Managing Trustee, and his family members as trustees. The institution is affiliated with Bharathiar University and got recognized under sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act of 1956. The institution is a self-financed, co-educational, Arts & Science College. Our college is reaccredited with ‘B+’ grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2020 with a score of 2.64.

NASC aims to contribute the finest careers for the students. With continuous guidance, the students upgrade their knowledge and make them be fit for obtaining Career Opportunities. The College offers various courses for students to pursue learning in and out of the classroom. Excellent teaching methodology, experienced faculty, a well-structured industry interface, and a fully integrated modern campus – all contribute to the making of competent and innovative students and transformational citizens for the future.

The college spreads over 10.99 acres and is housed in imposing buildings amidst sprawling lawns and trees. The institution is located on the corridor of the State Highway between Erode and Perundurai. Since its inception, the institution has been providing need-based quality education to all the sections of the society and presently offers 15 UG programs, 5 PG programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Management and Computer Application and streams along with 12 Research programs (7 M.Phil and 5 Ph.D.).

Admission Process

At the time of Personal Interview, candidates will have to produce original certificates and other documents as required.

If selected, candidates can deposit the fee through Cash/DD at Nandha Institutions' campuses or through payment gateways like Bank DD, Cash, etc.

Application Forms can be obtained at Administrative Office of Nandha Arts and Science College.

Placements

Nandha provides its students the best possible transformation inputs to enhance their career prospects. It is provided to the placement willing (pw) students with an exclusive department called nSeeD (Nandha’s Skill Enhancement for Employability Development). This department gets the workload by increasing the five-hour mandatory working-hours per day to six hours a day for all the classes. A few of the staff members of nSeeD are trained in the industry such as WIPRO, and Infosys through their corporate training program. A computer lab is exclusively dedicated for this department and students are getting language training and online assessment training with past years question bank. Apart from career counselling, a few staff with psychological inputs attempts personal counselling.

The department dovetails its operation with the NEIs placement wing which is having wider contacts with recruiting organizations. The placement cell also provides complete assistance to the visiting Companies at every stage of their placement process. Many reputed industries visit us annually to meet their HR need. Scholarship Details

Students belonging to the BC, MBC, SC and ST are eligible for scholarship from the Government of India or from the Tamil Nadu Government.

Students applying for scholarship should submit the following certificates in original: Community Certificate, Income Certificate and Statement of Marks.

The following scholarships and concessions are available as per Government and Private Guidelines:

Government’s Scholarship is available to SC/ST students.

The Annual income of the parents of SC/ST Students should not exceed Rs.2,00,000 (Two lakhs only).

Government’s Scholarship to MBC and Christian / Muslim Students. The Annual income of the parents of MBC and Christian students should not exceed Rs.1,50,000 (One Lakh Fifty Thousands only).

Boys Hostel

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Facilities Available in the Hostel are 1. Recreation Room with TV 2. Indoor Games 3. Telephone Booths with Xerox and Stationery 4. Internet facility.

The college has Wherever you go the network follows because teaching has evolved from the conventional chalk and duster mode to technology-driven e-learning. Our college is a Wi-Fi-enabled zone. A campus-wide wireless computing network is in place that allows persons to sign in to the Internet at any point in time.

The College has Library and Information Center accommodated with a carpet area of 2186 sq. mts and 569.80 Sq. mts INFLIBNET and DELNET facilities are available for students and teachers. Two Libraries of the college are fully equipped with more than 18749, 11629 books and bound periodicals. The library is automated using Integrated Library Management System (ILMS). It provides materials relevant to the curriculum and opportunities to plan and implement as well as to evaluate the learning program.

A full fledged Transportation department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students at nominal charges and staff from various places like; Erode, Anthiyur, Bhavani, Mettur, Sankagiri, Gobi, Sathy, Nambiyur, Thiruchengode , Kangayam, Komarapalayam, Othakadai(Kodumudi), Sivagiri, Tiruppur, Vellakovil covering a distance upto 85 Kms radius (Arts and Engineering buses). This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation. The students are given the facility to use the most comfortable transportation facility to save time in transit. Our College provide bus facilities for the students regularly on college timings.
