Paavai Engineering College (PEC), which is a part of the Paavai Institutions was established in 2001 at Namakkal.   It is run by the Pavai Varam Educational Trust’ which was founded by Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman and constituted by eminent professionals - a leading Chartered Accountant, an Industrialist and a Pediatric Surgeon with the basic objective of providing purposeful and goal oriented technical education.

PEC is located in a sprawling Campus of 12.18 acre of land in Paavai Nagar, NH-44, Pachal, Namakkal Dist. Tamilnadu.

Paavi Engineering College is an autonomous Institute affiliated to Anna University. It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and  NAAC (UGC) With 'A' Grade.  It is ranked 212 for B.Tech by India Today ranking 2022.

The college offers B.E./B.Tech at the UG level, ME, MBA, MCA at the PG level, and Ph.D. at the doctoral level. 65% of the students are admitted through Anna University single window counseling and the rest are through entrance exams (PEEE).  The basic admission criteria is through Entrance Exam ranking in TNEA, TANCET.

PEC has all necessary facilities for use of its students and staff which include Library, Sports facilities, multi Gymnasium, Hostel facilities, Medical centre, Auditorium and Function halls.
