RTE Society's Rural Engineering College is a reputable un-aided private institution located in Gadag, Karnataka. This self-financing college was established in the year 1980 by Late Sri. K.H. Patilji, a visionary and a doyen among politicians who ushered in a revolution of sorts in the field of education in this part of Karnataka.  It is the first engineering college in the North Karnataka region and has contributed largely to the development and prosperity of the region. The college has achieved an enviable status due to a strong emphasis on academic and technical excellence and has been in the forefront of imparting Engineering education.

 
Rural Engineering College, Gadag is located is a huge sprawling 46 acre Campus in Hulkoti, Gadag District, Hubballi, Karnataka.

 
REC is affiliated to Visveshwaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. The college has received an NAAC Grading A with a CGPA of 3.18 out of 4.

 
The college currently offers 7 Under Graduate BE Courses in Engineering, including B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

The Training and Placement Cell at REC function with a basic goal to ensure placement for all the final year students. Scholarship minority and sc nd St they will pay full. Other cost it's dependence on our cost and income. Yes we can get loan facility offered by our college that you know of all banks. Canara bank all Government banks

Library

The Library has well-furnished and well ventilated building with an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book materials in Engineering Technology and the Library has over 41,800 No of volumes and 8,650 No of Titles, Which are updated regularly by way of adding new literature in the form of Textbooks, Reference books, Reports, Proceedings, Encyclopedias, Standards (National & International) Print Journals, Audio Visual Resources, CDs, Educational videos and Thesis/Dissertations/Project Reports. The library subscribes to nearly more than 09 databases under which thousands subscribed e-journals and e-books are available under VTU Consortium.    Mainly database are IEEE, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Emerald, New Age International, Tata Mc Grow Hill, Springer, Drillbit, Knimbus Mint book, Pocket books and Pro Quest with full text articles e-books & e-journals from the major Publishers. In addition there are 705 Bound volumes of Journals, 500 CDs & DVDs. The Library has total area 600 sqm and 100 students seating capacity, the entire collection has bar-coded and fully automated by using the Koha Integrated Library Management Software. The Library offer many services to our patrons like Automated Circulation System, Books Lending and Periodicals, Online Public Access Catalogue, Database Orientation, Patron Management, Government Book Bank Facility, Inter library loan and Special Encouragement for top 3 Students in all branches, News Paper Clipping and Selective Dissemination of Information etc. Online catalogue of the library and the e-resources can be accessed on the campus network.

Transport Facilities

Safety during transit from home to institute and back of students is our prime concern. The college has its own fleet of buses for students and staff. Nearest accessible from home pick up points are planned for students convenience. The college is also accessible by Government buses.

Excursions, industrial tours and visits are also facilitated by the college transport system.
