SKR Engineering College is a Private Self Financing Telugu Minority Engineering College in Poonamallee, Chennai.   It was established in the year  under the aegis of Srinivasa Educational Trust by Shri A. Srinivasan and Shri K. Ramadoss for imparting quality technical education to the students.  SKR Engineering College is an esteemed institution committed to excellence in engineering education.  The singular aim of SKREC is to impart quality education with high standards par excellence in Engineering and Technology, to provide an excellent infrastructure in a serene and conducive atmosphere that would motivate the students in the pursuit of knowledge in Engineering and Technology and to develop them into skilled and rust worthy Engineers, both in theory and practice.

SKR Engineering College provides MBA and B.E./B.Tech as flagship courses.  These courses are provided across the Management, Engineering, and various other streams.  Admission to various courses is based on the entrance exam scores and merit. The accepted entrance exams are TANCET, GATE, and CEETA.
