SRS College of Engineering & Technology is the founding Engineering Institution of Swathi Educational and Charitable Trust. The College was started in 2009 with four branches of Undergraduate engineering, namely B.E. Automobile Engineering, B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, B.E. Civil Engineering, B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and B.E. Mechanical Engineering.

The AICTE Approved the new Post Graduate Course M.E. Computer Science & Engineering from the year of 2012. The courses are approved by AICTE and affiliated to the ANNA University of Technology, coimbatore. Today, the College offers several Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes in Engineering.

The Trust venture SRS College of Engineering and Technology is dedicated and committed to quality and excellence in Engineering and Technology pursuits. It aims at reliable services to the national cause of improving the quality of life of our people with importance to the betterment of rural people and for their economic development.

Promoters have a broad perspective of creating educational opportunities for the benefit of the needy particularly in rural area. As there is great need of development of human resources to meet the global demand, the Trust envisages offering programmes in the Engineering College to produce talented young Technocrats.

B.E. Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
