About Institute
Our College has taken the name of Sri Sengamala Thayaar, the Divine Consort of Sri Rajagopalaswamy. Though there is one Government College in Mannargudi, the need for an exclusive women’s college has always been keenly felt. As women prove their efficiency in various fields, including the Air Force, our founder Late. Srimathi Krishnaveni, wife of Late. Sri Vivekanandan, decided to fulfill the long felt educational need of the people of Mannargudi and its surrounding taluks.

Rules

The student will not be permitted to go out of the college premises during working hours.
All the students should be modestly dressed.
The student should not stay at private residence without prior permission of the head of the Department.
Without the permission of the Head of the Department and parent, the students are not allowed to change their bus.
During the functions, the college closing time will be informed to the parents through the students and the parents should take care of the student’s arrival time.
Students are not allowed to use mobile phones in the college campus.
Students should maintain discipline while interacting with teaching, non-teaching staff and fellow-students.
Students should abide by the rules and regulations framed by the college authorities from time to time.
Students attending lectures in the class rooms or working in the laboratories shall maintain perfect silence.
Plastic carry bags are strictly prohibited in the campus.
No student shall leave the class room either without permission or till the teacher leaves the room.
Every student should be neatly and decently dressed.
Students should be punctual. The late comers will not be permitted to attend classes of the day.
Students are expected to check the notice boards regularly.
No meetings or celebrations shall be conducted in the college premises without the permission of the Principal.
Loitering in the corridors, damaging furniture and writing on the desks or walls are strictly forbidden. Students violating these rules shall be fined.
Day scholars opting for bus facilities shall maintain absolute discipline. Any misbehavior shall be seriously dealt with.
Students are required to bring their identity cards to college every day.
Transfer Certificates and Conduct Certificates will not be issued unless all the dues to the college and hostel are cleared.
The Principal’s decision shall be final in all matters of punishment to the students for the infringement of any of the rules.

CAREER GUIDANCE & PLACEMENT CELL
The Career guidance and Placement cell is very effectively engaged in developing the students in all needed skills.

The cell arranges various campus interviews for the direct recruitment of the final year UG and PG students. The primary aim of the cell is to develop competency skill among the students and to promote women’s empowerment. The cell encourages and guides the final year students to participate in on campus interviews and off campus interviews.

To facilitate the students for improving their competency skill, our cell conducted various programmes on resume preparation, personality development, communication skill development, Group discussion and Aptitude test which enrich the students’ potentiality in the competitive world.

Students’ employment is facilitated through the placement cell. Our cell invites companies, either individually or as a group by organizing on-campus interviews. It also arranges for participation of students in off campus placement activities.
The students have been placed in amongst the best companies of the country. Our graduates have been employed in companies like TCS, HCL, WIPRO, Hyundai, L-CUBE, ABN AMRO Bank etc.
Conducts regular class-room training Programs on the topics related to the improvement of the students Career Development, Communication skills, Aptitude skills, and Interview skills in accordance to face all Organization’s Interviews and Competitions.
Pre-Placement talks were organized every year by various resource persons for sharpening the skills of individual’s, detailing them about Personal Interviews to Group Discussions and resume building.
Arranges Campus Interviews for the direct recruitment of the final year students.
Support, Encourage and Guide the final year students to participate in the OFF-Campus Interviews at various Institutions affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.
Organizes work-shop on both On and Off line Aptitude test Programs, Group Discussions, Interview techniques, Mock Interviews etc…to enable the students to practice the same and execute at most best during their Final Organization Interviews.
Utilizes the MOUs with various companies in order to ensure our students to get placed.
To facilitate the students for improving their competency skill, our Cell conducted various programmes.

The fee for my course is 13000rs. They provide farmer's scholarships. They provide sc and st scholarships. Fees are affordable. They provide minority scholarships. They provide interior placement and also They hike affordable fees.

The S.T.E.T. Women hostel is a unit of S.T.E.T Educational Trust.

General Library was established in the year 1994. M.B.A. /M.C.A. Library were established in the year 2001.

Our college also provides transport facility for the staff members. TNSTC also provides transport service from mannargudi to our college campus in morning and afternoon.
