Sengunthar Arts and Science College, popularly known as SASC, was founded in 1991 by Sengunthar Education Trust. It is a pioneer, self-financing, co-educational Institution, situated in serene green surroundings at Tiruchengode. It was formerly affiliated to the University of Madras and now to Periyar University, Salem. The Institution spreads over 22.5 acres of land with 2,20,000 sq.ft. of build in area.

The college offers 15 UG Course, 9 PG Courses and 4 Research programmes. It is the pioneer institution to offer M.C.A. degree course in the entire Namakkal District. All the PG Departments are housed in a separate block with modern laboratory facilities. Department wise A/c conference halls are established to cater the academic needs of aspirants.

The college won Best College award 2 times for its academic proficiency and unparalleled discipline by Namakkal district consumer forum in the year 2003 and 2004.

As a crown to the glory of SASC, the students bagged 85 Gold Medals and 575 University Ranks form the inception of the Institution.

Unique among all affiliated colleges of Periyar University, Sengunthar Arts and Science College is having a separate, spacious library with good collection of Books and Magazines and Journals of National and International repute. A Placement and Training block is separately housed and functioning well under a placement director.

The alumni of Sengunthar Arts and Science College are placed well in reputed firms in India and also globally, which is testimony to the historical 31 years of service in the arena of higher education.

No one in our Sengunthar Arts and Science College did not conduct any entrance exams only selected by 12th marks. My 12th cutoff is 142.5 in Maths Biology it's very low but our college approved me to study in our college this is the process in the admission process.

Training and Placement Cell

Every year our Sengunthar Arts and Science College, Training and Placement Cell provide enormous opportunities for our students. The Training and Placement Cell motivates and train the students for their upliftment in career. As a part of the institute the Training and Placement Cell have placed 357 students from various departments in 17 companies during the academic year.

In addition, the placement cell had a tie-up with Redington Elite Smart Learning Centre to train the students as CSR Activity. The Center is giving training to all final year UG and PG students to meet the demand by the corporate.

The Smart Learning Centre was inaugurated by Mrs.Indira Kannan with 180 students as participants. On successful completion of final year, the Redington is kind enough to provide training for second year students also. They provide digital classroom and language lab to our students. Totally 210 students participated and benefited by the program. The classes are conducted through online from New Delhi.

In addition to the training, the centre arranged five days YOGA program; combine with “ART OF LIVING”. In the valedictory session the RTO of Tiruchengode, Mr.Ramalingam presented the certificates to the participants.

The Sengunthar Arts and Science College Training and Placement Cell, March towards its successes in the years to come.

In our Sengunthar Arts and Science College fee structure is very easy 3month once pay 6,600 rs it's very easy fees structure. I don't study using scholarships, or financial assistance. Every batch completed by our college provides job opportunities for each and every student.

Our College Students both Boys and Girls have shown their excellence in Zonal, Interzonal and University level Boxing, Ball Badminton, Hockey, Volleyball, Basket ball, Cricket, Take-won-do, Judo and Athletics.

Sengunthar Arts and Science College built the total area of the library is 8104sq ft. It accommodates 150 students at a time. The library has adequate number of books, e-books, Research Journals, E-Journals, Magazines, E-Magazines, Research Manuscripts, and Newspapers. The Library comprises 28620 books, 25 magazines, 60 Journals.In our Institution the Digital Library can be accessed by students and Faculty for their improvement of our knowledge.
