The Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha

The Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha was founded in 1901 by the 6th peethadhipati, made a humble, yet a noble beginning with its first school housed in Mahadasoha - Mahamane the spiritual abode. Then onwards it has never looked back and has grown into leaps and bounds. Dedicating itself to the pursiute of service and excellence has grown into a mammoth educational centre imparting science, commerce, manegent , arts, engeneering & techanical education to nearly 20,000 students from LKG to PG in 40 institutions spending nearly 100 crores in 100 years of its meaningful and eventful existence

Illustrious Sons of India and dignitaries including the father of nation, Mahatna Gandhi down to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former president of India have visited our Sangha. Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha was founded in 1903 by Late Poojya Doddappa Appa, the 7th Peethadhipati of Sharnbasveshwar Maha Dasoha Samsthan, Gulbarga. It made a humble, yet a noble beginning with its first school housed in Mahadasoha Mahamane - the spiritual abode where Lord Sharnbasveshwar lived. Since then, it has never looked back and has grown into leaps and bounds, dedicating itself to the pursuit of service and excellence. In the course of time, it has grown into a mammoth educational centre imparting Science, Commerce, Arts, Management, Vocational, Engineering and Technical education to nearly Twenty Thousand Students from LKG to PG in forty institutions spending nearly hundred crore in the span of hundred years of its meaningful and eventful existence.

Many dignitaries have visited our institution - including the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi down to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul kalam, the Former President of India. They have paid rich tributes to our Sangha as it has been rendering yeomen service by providing quality education to the people of backward region.

There have been many innovations in teaching methodology in the recent past, especially in higher education. But the essence of philosophy of our institution has remained as it was enunciated by Lord Sharnbasveshwar. Students may acquire great knowledge which may or may not be used by them in their life but the kind of education imparted in our institution lasts for ever, which is more rooted in encouraging our students to be self reliant, inquisite and positive thinking governed by great tolerance. The education that we impart gives the students enormous scope for independent thinking and absorbing the differences they confront in the society. The knowledge acquired without subjecting it to enquiry has no relevance. Hence we infuse the spirit of enquiry into the minds of young students Self-discipline and independent thinking are the two corner stones of our institution on which the life of students is built. The faculty members make all-out efforts to stimulate intellectual honesty among students. India is a land of composite culture, naturally the strength of our campus is multi-cultures as there are students coming from different walk of life and they are unified and united in our premises. This promotes better understanding among the students who come from different backgrounds. We make the students learn how to cope-up with varied styles and thinking, thereby motivate them to work together for the betterment of society. Govt. Quota Seats :-
40% of total seats in B.Tech/B.Arch/M.Tech/MBA/MCA courses will be filled up by Govt. of Karnataka through KEA centralized counseling based on CET/NATA/JEE Paper II/PGCET/Gate Score/Rank.

Sharnbasva University Management Quota :-
60% of total seats of B.Tech/B.Arch/M.Tech/MBA/MCA courses will be filled up by Sharnbasva University through CET/NATA/ JEE Paper II/PGCET/University Entrance Test Score/Rank. Admission to BBM/BCA/M.Sc/MA/M.Com Programmes are based on Sharnbasva University Entrance Test Score/Rank.

The College has a Centre for Student Services and Placement, which gives personal and career counseling to the students. The idea is to enable students to effectively cope with life at College as well as in their career. One of the major objectives of the centre is to help students in obtaining internships and placements in reputed companies across various industrial sectors. Assistance is also provided to students in procuring higher education opportunities. Also, during the last few years, several personality development programs have been conducted by experts from industry. Sharnbasva University managed to grab the highest number of recruitments among similar aged institutions. For the 4th year in a row, Sharnbasva University students have outshined in securing the highest number of placements in several pool and On Campus recruitment drives.

The fees structure of college is hike according to the course demand only for the new admission of that hiked year only.for those who took addmission early year for those students same fees structure which they have paid in admission time is carried till final year.minimum 1lack to 3lack cost is there.the college aslo provied scholarship to the top students who have toped in entrancen exams and also every student will get a governmnet scholarship. Coming to campus many companys will conduct campus drive. 20+ top companies conduct campus drive

The University's infrastructure will support, enable, and enhance the work of its faculty, staff, and students.The University has separate buildings for each Department, a well-equipped library, study rooms, student's hostels,mess, gymkhana, a recreational centre and residential quarters for staff.Besides, it has a well-furnished convocation hall, examination hall, common rooms for ladies.

Canteen
The Canteen is designed to cater to 150 students & staff. The canteen is a place where students congregate to not only eat but exchange views. Our Food Court has a modern kitchen where food is steam cooked. The washed dishes are sterilized for hygienic serving.

Library
To build up a library is to create a life. It's never just a random collection of books.It Establish serene learning environment for the students in using the library facilities and services at ease any time.A/c Library 24/7 open for students..

Sports
With the belief "A Healthy mind in a healthy body", University forays into sports arena and provides following facilities Football field, Hockey field, Volley ball, Table tennis ,Cricket field and Indoor Fames facility.

Solar Energy
The sun provides more than enough energy to meet the whole world's energy needs, and unlike fossil fuels, it won't run out anytime soon. As a renewable energy source, the only limitation of solar power is our ability to turn it into electricity in an efficient and cost-effective way.

Hostel
It manages the student data, staff data, students admission process and create receipt for the fees paid by the student who stay in the hostel and also help in maintaining visitor's messages.

Transportation
The campus being 1.5Kms from the central bus stand and it is at heart of the city .The University provides transportation facility for students.There are good condition buses with safety features as first aid kits and fire extinguisher which take care of commutation of students.
