Shri Sakthikailassh Women's College (SSWC), first self financing women's college in Salem city is affiliated to Periyar University, Salem. The college runs under Om Sri Vivekananda Educational Trust has committed Management that strives to empower women by imparting quality and skill based education. The college was established in the year 2004 with the motto Character is Power. In 2005, the college started with 497 students offering 11 UG programmes. Currently we hold 4019 students with 21 UG, 9 PG and 7 M.Phil programmes. The college is spread over with 6.050 acres of land and built up area of 29,119.40 sq.mts with a clean and pollution free environment.

B.B.A. The eligibility for a student to join BBA course shall be a pass in HSC. Preference should be given for commerce and accountancy streams.
B. Com. Candidate for admission to the first year of the UG degree programme shall be required to have passed the higher secondary examination (Academic or Vocational) conducted by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in the relevant subjects or other examinations accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate, subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed there for.
B. Com. (ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE) Any one of the subjects must be studied at the +2 level Accountancy/ Commerce/ Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science.
B.Com [BANKING AND INSURANCE] Any one of the subjects must be studied at the +2 level Accountancy/Commerce/Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science.
B. Com. (COMPUTER APPLICATION) Any one of the subjects must be studied at the +2 level Accountancy/ Commerce/ Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Computer Technology / Information Technology.
B.Com. (PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING) Candidates seeking admission to the first year B.Com (Professional Accounting) shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu with Commerce or Accountancy or Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or
Statistics or Business Statistics as one of the subjects or an examination of any other university or authority accepted by the syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed there to

B.Sc. (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics or Business Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics (Academic stream or Vocational stream) as one of the subject under Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Tamil Nadu as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed are permitted to appear and qualify for the Bachelor of Science in Information Science degree examination of Periyar University after a programme of study of three academic years.
B.Sc. CS (AI & DATA SCIENCE) A candidate who has passed in Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics as one of the subject under Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Tamil Nadu as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the syndicate, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed, are permitted to appear and qualify for the Bachelor of Science in Data Science degree examination of this university after a programme of study of three academic year.
B.Sc. PHYSICS Candidates seeking admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Science – Physics shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate.
B.Sc. CHEMISTRY A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board or an examination of some other board accepted by the syndicate as equivalent there to with Chemistry and Physics and any one of the following subjects namely Maths, Botany, Zoology or Biology shall be eligible for admission into B.Sc., course in Chemistry.
B.Sc. BOTANY Candidate for admission to the first year of the degree of Bachelor of Science Course shall be required to have passed the Higher secondary examination (Academic or vocational stream with Botany/Biology along with Chemistry under higher secondary board of examination Stream) conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an Examination accepted by the Syndicate,
Subject to such conditions may be prescribed therefore shall be permitted to appear and qualify for B.Sc degree examination in Botany. B.Sc. MICROBIOLOGY A candidate who has passed higher secondary examination in any one of the Biological sciences (Botany, Zoology, Biology). (Academic/Vocational stream - Agri, Home Science, Poultry) under higher secondary board of examination, Tamil Nadu or as per norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as Equivalent thereto by the Syndicate.
B.Sc. BIOTECHNOLOGY
B.Sc. PSYCHOLOGY A candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Examinations or Pre-University of Tamil Nadu State Government or Any other State Government accepted by the syndicate as equivalent shall be permitted to appear and qualify for the B. Sc. Psychology. Preference will be given to the candidate with Psychology as one subject in their qualifying Examination of HSC or Pre-University.
B.Sc. TEXTILES & FASHION DESIGNING Candidate seeking admission to the first year Degree of Bachelor of Science in Textile and Fashion Designing shall be required to have passed in any Higher Secondary course examination (Regular academic or Vocational) of the State Board/CBSE/ICSE or other examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate, subject to such other conditions as may be prescribed. Pass in any three year Diploma in Fashion/Costume/Textile/Apparel related course is eligible to admit in direct second year of this UG course.
B.Sc. NUTRITION AND DIETETICS Candidates for admission to the first year of the Degree of Nutrition and Dietetics course shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examinations conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination.
