Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (R.) was founded in the year 1974 under the divine leadership of His Holiness Byravaikya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji. Following the ‘Guru-Shishya’ Parampara, his holiness Byravaikya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, 71st in the holy lineage, who ascended the revered seat in 1974. The benevolent activities of social service gained an accelerated momentum since then.

Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt, with its roots firmly embedded in the folds of time (1500 Years), Space on Rocky hill, 63 miles West of Bangalore, the Capital City of Karnataka, has been working towards the betterment of human life and society. Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri has a history of 2000 years of its existence. It is the holy land engulfed with the divine resonance and vibration. Ancient Vedic culture was founded here on spirituality, where Nature is valued and worshipped. It was Yagnas and prayers that inspired cosmic peace here.

Sri Kshetra is blessed by Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva performed penance at Sri Kshetra, during which he devoured two demons, Chuncha and Kancha, who were pestering elements of the area for a very long time. At the end of his austerity, Lord Shiva entrusted a Siddayogi, establishing a ‘Natha tradition’ and guided him to disseminate the righteousness in the society. Lord Shiva also assured to reside in Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri, in the form of Panchalingas viz. Lord Gangadhareshwaraswamy, Chandramouleshwaraswamy, Malleshwaraswamy, Siddeshwaraswamy and Someshwaraswamy; of which Lord Gangadhareshwaraswamy is known as the ‘Presiding Deity’. Thus, Sri Kshetra came to be known as “Panchalinga Kshetra”.

The whole admission process for all the courses offered is offline and merit-based. Any candidate who fulfills the minimum eligibility criteria can take part in the admission process. Admission to all the courses is based on the marks scored by the applicant in the concerned qualifying examination.

Human Resource Development is the framework for helping students develop their personal and organizational skills, knowledge, and abilities so as to enhance their personality as well as help them get placed in an excellent organization.

SJCIT is one of the very few colleges where the concept of HRD has been implemented and proved successful. The HR Department is sincerely working to empower students with various qualities and skills to achieve professional and personal excellence. The HRD is playing a major role in articulating the students to the needs of the industry. They are informed about the need for maintaining good academic scores and are motivated regularly to achieve the same.

Training program and industry related seminars are routine and the students are exposed to these program from the very first day they step into the college. These programs along with mock tests, both offline and online, have been made mandatory and evaluation procedures are followed which are in line with those required by the corporate world. They are being prepared to be individuals with logical and analytical skills and with excellent practical knowledge.

Central Library is the heart and soul of our Institution with an impressive collection of 86220+ Volumes and 13621+ Titles, SJCIT is a member of VTU Consortium for the subscription of online electronic resources providing access to more than 6155 e-Journals and 5000 and above e books, Newspapers and Magazines to cater to the requirements of Engineering streams, since the campus with wi-fi enabled for Students and can easily access their resources remotely.

Girls Hostel

1. One Girls’ hostel off the campus, with 96 triple occupancy with common bath rooms with hot water, 20 Single/Double occupancy with attached bath rooms with hot water.
   
2. Girls’ hostel provided with Gym, internet and LED TV, news papers, transport facility.
   
3. Two spacious halls for comfortable dining.
   
4. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner is provided by the mess comprising of South Indian food items. The Mess Committee made up of student representatives from different parts of the state decide the mess menu.
   
5. Availability of light refreshments from the canteen up to 6.30pm.
   
6. Health center with a doctor for consultation and treatment available from Monday to Saturday between 6 pm and 7 pm. Medicines are supplied free of cost.

Boys Hostel

The Boys Hostel of S J C Institute of Technology came up with the college itself in 1986 and was located on B.B. road in Chickballapur. It has a rich legacy of academic excellence and responsible community life. Located near the college main building, it is an affordable, homely and safe accommodation for about 625 students. The hostel has a spacious and airy building with well-furnished rooms, a well-organized dining hall, and 24 hours wi-fi facility. The hostel is well equipped with recreational facilities like table tennis, a carom-board, a chessboard, a Common TV hall, a study hall, a meditation hall, newspapers, and magazines. Running hot and cold water is available round the clock in the hostel.

The residents of SJCIT Boys hostel have always demonstrated the ethos of dedication, sincerity, and care for others. The hostel inculcates a spirit of co-operation and respect for different cultures in the residents as they come from diverse cultures. As a part of extended family of the college fraternity, SJCIT Boys hostel adds a dimension of vigor and commitment to the academic and extracurricular ambiance of the institution.
