Sri Sairam College of Engineering formerly Shirdi Sai Engineering College, Bengaluru, established in the year 1997 by MJF.Ln .Leomuthu, Founder Chairman of Sapthagiri Educational Trust, is a non-profitable and non-minority institution. Located within the Bengaluru city limits, Sairam College is an inspirational place to study in which everything from classroom to laboratories, hostel to cafeteria are modernised with state-of-the art infrastructure. The labs and other facilities are among the best in the region making it one of the most sought after institutions by parents and student.

The Ultra-modern computer labs with latest software and hardware, and techno-visionary innovative centre make the institution learning heaven for enthusiastic young engineering aspirants. ICT enabled class rooms and work areas are well furnished and equipped with modern up-to-date facilities.

Sairam Institutions always recognize & encourage merit. During the last 3 years, we have distributed over Rs.2 Crore worth of scholarships benefitting over 500 students. This year, we are introducing a new scholarship scheme for students enrolling in Sri Sairam College Of Engineering based on their Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) aggregate.

Training and placement
The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) of Sri Sairam College of engineering is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liaisons between Industry and the Institute. The goal of Training & Placement Cell is to provide world class training to students. The TPC has emerged as a favored destination for many national and international organizations who come back year after year to recruit fresh talented and nurtured at the Institute. The Training & Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and help the student community towards their campus placements and industrial training. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and interview techniques. Additionally, the TPC also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The database of the students is managed by the cell, which plays a crucial role in suitably placing the alumni too whenever required.

Placement
The Placement Department undertakes the following activities to achieve the desired results and sets targets. The department handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students. The Placement wing provides employment opportunities to students through campus recruitments, pooled campus and off campus recruitments. The Placement process is initiated with a clear focus on the students from all academic levels. All levels of the companies are contacted and invited for the campus recruitment drive which matches with different academic levels of students. Branch specific core companies are focused equally to ensure students obtain the right match of their passion and competency. The department is well equipped with excellent infra-structure to support every stage of the placement process like Pre-Placement Talks, interviews, Group Discussions etc.

Rolls-Royce Unnati Scholarships
Is an initiative of Rolls-Royce India Private Limited to financially support meritorious girl students in completing their engineering programme. The scholarship is helping those girl students who are studying in the 1st/2nd/3rd year of undergraduate engineering degree programme at an AICTE recognized institution in India.
This scholarship is being offered by Rolls-Royce India Private Limited as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that primarily focus on supporting and encouraging students interested in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. The company also runs several projects to promote STEM learning programmes.

Rolls-Royce Unnati Scholarships for Women Engineering Students 2020
Eligibility

Open for girl students only.
Applicants must be studying in 1st/2nd/3rd year of Engineering degree programme (in fields like Aerospace, Marine, Electronics, Computers, etc.) at an AICTE recognized institution.
Applicants must have scored more than 60% marks in their Class 10 and 12 board exams.

From our college 173 girls students are applied Rolls Royce Scholarship for the academic year 2019-2020.

Pragati / Saksham Scholarship
Is an initiative of AICTE , our college is supporting and make all the eligible students to apply the scholarships in every year.

Benefits of Pragati scholarships :
Every year, total 4000 scholarships distributed by AICTE. Out of total scholarships, 2000 Scholarship for Degree Students and 2000 Scholarships for Diploma Students. Shortlisted candidates will receive the following benefits under this scholarship scheme :

Tuition Fee : Rs.30000/- or Actual Tuition Fee (whichever is less)
Selected students also get the Rs.2000/- per month for 10 Months as Incidental Charges for each year.
In any of the case Tuition Fee Waiver / Reimbursement, the student will get the Rs.30000/- amount to purchase the various thins like Book Purchase, Computer, Vehicle, Software, Equipment, Competitive Exam Preparation Fee, etc.
In order to apply for the Pragati Scholarship, the girl candidates must be studying in an AICTE approved college/institution. The details of AICTE Pragati Scholarship eligibility criteria is given below.

Applicants must be admitted to the 1st year of diploma/degree programme of an AICTE approved college/institute in the current academic year through the centralized admission process of the State/Central Government.
Two girls per family are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than INR 8 Lac during the preceding financial year. In case the applicant is married, the income of parents/in-laws is considered, whichever is higher.

LEO MUTHU MERIT SCHOLARSHIP- Encouraging Talent! is an initiative of Sairam group of institutions launchedfrom the academic year 2015-16 in memory of ourbeloved Founder Chairman, Late. Shri. MJF. Ln. Leo Muthu to encourage student’s upward academic performance to help talented and financially backward students.

This non-profitable and non-minority institution that has spawned three successful batches of Engineers is functioning at its permanent buildings at Sai Leo Nagar, a sprawling campus of 70 acres amidst sylvan surroundings.

The college buildings are architecturally designed and built in a vast area. The college has spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art computer centers, spacious drawing halls and a huge Administrative Block. To establish ourselves in a comfortable position, we have the following supporting facilities.

Hostel
Boys Hostel
A beautiful hostel for boys is available in the campus with necessary amenities like individual cot, study table, chair & wardrobe with locking facility. The hostel is maintained so well with a team of our Maintenance staff. The hostel is provided with 24 hours power backup with good drinking water facility. The other facilities available include solar heaters, reading room, TV lounge, Volley Ball Court, indoor games like Carroms board, Table Tennis and a multi Gym. Students are provided with high speed wi-fi internet facilities in the hostel during the prescribed time.

Girls Hostel
An exclusive & well secured hostel for girls is available for the students. The hostel is maintained by a well qualified Warden and the team of maintenance staff. Our Girls hostel comprises Warden’s office, Visitors lounge, reading room, dining hall, TV lounge & small indoor games room. The hostel is of three sharing type with attached Bath & Toilet with hot water facilities. Computers with internet connectivity are provided at our Girls hostel for the students’ educational purpose.

Cafeteria
Our canteen is effectively functioning to satisfy the needs of Students and Staffs with delicious and variety of food items at affordable rates. The food variety ranges from snacks, chats, South / North Indian dishes, Chinese fast food, Fresh Juice, ice creams & soft drinks.

Sports

Sports and extracurricular activities have been an integral part of the vibrant campus culture at SSCE ever since it was founded. Sports and extracurricular activities are a crucial part of SSCE’s strategy for creating well-rounded persons. The Department’s responsibility is to make sure that students have access to recreational and competitive sports and game services. Everyone who participates in athletics is encouraged to realise their best potential by the department. The Department’s goal is to support the SSCE Mission and Vision in their pursuit of their goals. In the same way that we pursue greatness, in still values, and build character in the classroom, we pursue knowledge and talent in field sports.

We promote self-discipline, the growth of interpersonal abilities, the facilitation of communication between peers and coaches, and the teaching of non-cognitive skills that are crucial for all young adults. During the past ten years, our students have participated in and won awards at numerous national, state, and university championships because to our outstanding coaching, training, and practise sessions. We lead in the creation and fostering of sportsmanship, character, and leadership qualities, and we are very proud of our accomplishments in this area of sports. There are weightlifting machines, a table tennis court, and indoor gyms in our sports complex. Sports enthusiasts are drawn to the large outdoor field because it offers the ideal setting for our students to play basketball, cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, netball, and throwball.
In terms of overall sports accomplishments during the past ten years, we had a fantastic year that included multiple title victories. With your continuing help, I anticipate achieving much more this year. I’m overjoyed that you’ve chosen to participate in this SSCE event.

Transport

A fleet of Buses is operating from Bangalore city and Hosur to our College. The bus network covers all corners of the city and important junctions. A team of experienced drivers drive our buses complying all safety norms and traffic rules. The College encourages the student to make use of the transport so that they can reach the college in time safely and comfortably. With the help of individual bus monitors, special attention is given on all the students for their commutation

Also, KSRTC & BMTC bus facilities are available to our College campus at short intervals during the starting and ending hours of the college. Railway service is available from Bangalore City Station to Anekal Town during Morning as well as in the Evening.
