Sri Sarada Niketan College for Women, Amaravathipudur, Karaikudi Taluk has been in existence since 1997. The unparallel commitment of Swami Admananda Maharaj, to the cause of higher education for the women, particularly those in rural areas, is the sole factor that brought the College into being here, one of the educationally backward districts of the nation. Affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University earlier, the College stands now affiliated to the Alagappa University, Karaikudi from the academic year 2003-04.

The main purpose of the College is to bring into being illustrious young women graduates, prepared with valuable knowledge, perfected with character and packed with true sense of human values as reflected in our four-fold objectives:

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mathematics is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate should pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subject.
Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the Alagappa University, Karaikudi.
