T.J.S Engineering College, a well-known institution, was established in 2009 under the aegis of T.J. Sivananda Mudaliar Educational Trust, which believes that Education is a combination of participation and interaction, making learning meaningful and gratifying.  Dedicated to developing this college into a well-known institution for Engineering Education, the Trust is devoted to providing quality Technical Education, and focuses on Training and Research & Development activities through improved and effective utilization of the physical and financial resources.

The Trust itself was established in the year 2007, under the vision of a renowned Industrialist and Philanthropist late Shri. T.J.Sivanandam. He infused the spirit of promoting Higher Education among his brothers Shri. T. J. Arumugam, Shri. T. J. Desamuthu and Shri. T.J.Govindarajan and his dream was fulfilled with the establishment of T.J.S.Engineering College.  His dream came to fruition when the college was honored as the "Best Educational Institute" among newly established engineering colleges by "Education Today." Shri T.J. Govindarajan, the Chairman and Managing Trustee, has set exceptionally high standards for the institution.

TJSEC which is located in 11 acres of land in a rural setting of Thiruvallur District, Tamilnadu at a distance of about 30 Kms from Chennai on the GNT Road, Chennai- Vijayawada- Kolkata National Highway (NH5), T.J.S Nagar, Peruvoyal, near Kavaraipettai, Puduvoyal, Tamil Nadu.  The serene sprawling green pasture and the impressive infrastructure provide excellent academic ambience.

T.J.S Engineering College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.  The College is an ISO: 9001: 2015 certified institution that is also accredited by NAAC.  A Governing body was constituted for the developmental activities of the college and its future planning which ultimately steers this Institution to greater heights of Fame and Glory.

The college offers 7 Undergraduate and 3 Post graduate courses in the field of Engineering and Technology.  Courses offered in TJSEC include B.E (in 5 Disciplines), B.Tech (in 2 Disciplines), M.E (in 2 Disciplines), and MBA.  For admission the college accepts scores of Tamil Nadu 12^th, TANCET, TNEA, and GATE.  The college endeavors impart Quality Education and Experiential Learning that would mould the young minds and their skills to achieve success.  Its high profile faculty, provide high standards of education with freedom and responsibility.
