Our former Honourable Chief Minister Dr Kalaignar granted permission during the year 1996 to the Tiruppur Co-operative Housing Society Ltd No.K.1917,start the college and it is affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.It was named after the famous freedom fighter Thiyagi Tiruppur Kumaran.
