Vandayar Engineering College (VEC) was established in the year 2009. The Vandayar Educational & Charitable Trust sponsors the College which was founded by Shri. S. Gunasekara Vandayar
The College is located on a huge green campus of 50 Acres in a beautiful location, ideal for academics. It is situated in Thanjavur on the Nagapattinam National Highway at Pulavarnatham (Po), Mariamman Kovil (Via), Nagai Main Road, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. Frequent bus facility available to the college and the college itself is bus stop. In addition to College bus, Government, Private,Mini buses are available every ten minutes. The nearest railway station to Vandayar Engineering College is Mariamman Kovil Railway Station. It's a short walk from the college.
The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A++ grading. The College is ISO 9001:2015 Certified.
