JEE MAIN EXAM 29 January Paper Analysis Shift 1 & 2
Physics- Most students found the Physics section easy, with a majority of the questions being theoretical. The distribution of topics was fairly balanced, with a greater emphasis on Class 12 concepts. Key topics such as Mechanics, Waves, and Thermodynamics were well-covered, while Electrostatics, Optics, and Units & Measurements had a stronger presence. In contrast, Modern Physics and Magnetism had fewer questions. Notably, there were no questions from EMI and AC chapters.
Chemistry- The Chemistry section was rated as easy to moderate and acted as a time-saver. Almost all chapters were covered, with Inorganic and Physical Chemistry being dominant, while Organic Chemistry had fewer questions. Most theoretical questions were directly based on NCERT, making the section straightforward and quick to complete, allowing students to allocate more time to other subjects.
Mathematics- Mathematics ranged from moderate to difficult, with well-distributed questions across most chapters. Topics such as 3D Geometry, Vectors, Binomial Theorem, Conic Sections, Matrices, and Determinants were prominent. However, Calculus had fewer questions, though functions were covered. While the difficulty level was not excessively high, the time-consuming nature of many questions made Mathematics the most challenging section for many students.
JEE MAIN EXAM 28 January Paper Analysis Shift 1 & 2
The shift 2 of JEE MAIN EXAM s 2025 January 28 paper was overall moderate, with the Mathematics section being a bit more challenging than Physics and Chemistry. However, many students felt the paper was well-balanced and fair. Overall, the exam tested both conceptual understanding and quick problem-solving skills. With the right strategy, preparation, and time management, candidates can approach the JEE MAIN EXAM exam confidently and work towards achieving their desired rank.
JEE MAIN EXAM 2025 January 23 Shift 1 Paper Analysis
The JEE MAIN EXAM 23 January 2025 Shift 1 paper was of easy to moderate difficulty. Among the three sections, Chemistry was the easiest, followed by Physics, while Mathematics was slightly more challenging due to its length and calculation-intensive nature. The distribution of questions across topics was uneven, with some units receiving more prominence than others. Here’s a detailed subject-wise analysis:
Physics- The Physics section was perceived as easy to moderate by most students. The majority of the questions were drawn from Class 12 topics, with relatively fewer from Class 11. Chapters like Mechanics, Waves, and Thermodynamics were less emphasized in this shift. However, Class 12 topics such as Optics and Electromagnetism had a stronger presence. Questions from Modern Physics were moderate in number, while chapters like Alternating Currents (AC), EMI, and Magnetism were underrepresented. Notably, there was a good number of instrument-related questions, adding variety to the section.
Chemistry- In Chemistry, the paper covered almost all chapters, though certain units dominated. The section was considered the easiest and served as a significant time-saver for most students. Organic Chemistry was the most prominent, with straightforward questions that often-resembled past-year problems. Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry had fewer questions comparatively. Overall, Chemistry was quick to solve and allowed students to allocate more time to the other sections.
Mathematics- The Mathematics section, on the other hand, ranged from moderate to difficult. Questions from Class 11 chapters were fewer, with Class 12 topics like Calculus, 3D Geometry and Vectors, and Conic Sections dominating in terms of numbers. While the questions were not overly complex, many involved lengthy calculations, making this section time-consuming. For several students, Mathematics emerged as the most challenging part of the paper.
JEE MAIN EXAM 22 January 2025 Shift 1 Paper Analysis

Chemistry- Easy in difficulty level. Questions asked from mole concept, catalyst. Many questions from Organic.
JEE MAIN EXAM 22 January 2025 Shift 2 Paper Analysis
As per initial reaction from students who had appeared in the exam, the overall difficulty level was moderate. The difficulty level of the January 22nd, 2025 (Evening Shift) paper was almost the same as that of the Morning Shift. Among the three subjects, Physics was the easiest, followed by Chemistry, while Mathematics was the most challenging due to the lengthiness of its questions. A detailed subject-wise analysis is as follows:
Physics: Compared to the Morning Shift, Physics questions in the Evening Shift were relatively easier. Many students found this section the simplest. Mechanics was the most dominant topic, while Waves, Magnetism, and Modern Physics were also well-represented. Almost all chapters were covered evenly, and AR-type theoretical questions were included as well.
Chemistry: Questions were predominantly easy, similar to the Morning Shift. There was a relatively lower representation of Physical Chemistry, with Organic and Inorganic Chemistry forming the majority. Most of the questions were theoretical and covered almost all chapters equally. Assertion-Reason (AR) type questions were also included and were primarily theoretical.
Mathematics: Considered the most difficult section, mainly due to the lengthy nature of its questions. Based on student feedback, questions were asked from Calculus, Vectors & 3D Geometry, Matrices and Determinants, Quadratic Equations, Coordinate Geometry, and Binomial Theorem. The quality of the questions was comparable to the Morning Shift, with all chapters receiving equal representation. However, many average students found the section too time-consuming.
